How do you avoid your email account getting hacked? Spammers these days use email accounts of regular people like us to send spam. They hack the account and then send out spam to all your contacts and more.

Here are a few tips to avoid getting hacked:

(1) Always have strong passwords. Alphanumeric, upper/lowercase with special characters, all combined.
(2) Do not use same password for more than one service.
(3) Always use secure connections (over SSL) to send & receive emails.
(4) Avoid using email on un-trusted devices (including mobile) that may have trojans/worms/key loggers installed.
(5) Do not enter your email password on unknown sites. You never ever need to enter your email password to signup for a service.

Hope this helps.

Heard about #heartbleed bug? Is your hosting server patched? You can test at Qualys SSL Labs:https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html

At Webx Networks we take security very seriously and patched all servers the same night patch was released. Make sure you get at least A- rating on your hosting server. Rest assured if you are at Webx Networks, your server is safe and secure.
