'Beware of little expenses; a small leak will sink a great ship' - good ol Benjamin Franklin...

So true though... go on, just add up ALL those coffees you buy in a week! Or takeaways... or little trips to kmart (guilty!)...

With lenders actually starting to look further into your spending habits when applying for finance, this feels like a timely reminder to just be more mindful perhaps...?

You can always let us help :)

Came across this interesting article the other day - it highlights how one mortgage application got various results from the banks and how going to a broker can be the ideal situation...

~ lil reminder ~

It's getting to that time again where the government GIVE YOU MONEY!!

Log on to your IRD (https://goo.gl/pi8A2z) to check you* have put in at least $1,042.86 or on track to do so from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2017 to be eligible for your full tax credit of $521.43.

If you haven't put in quite that amount, fear not, they will still give you money but it just won't be the full amount :)

Are you looking to buy a house, and have you noticed fewer incentives from banks? How do the major players compare? http://www.wealthhealth.co.nz/mortgages-insurance-and-kiwisaver-blog/2017/tighter-lending-but-better-mortgage-broker-deals
