"Storytelling", at least to me, is one of Jean-Luc Ponty's better efforts. He performs this with his daughter Clara playing Chopin's "Prelude in C Minor" as the accompaniment. It is beautiful. Sad. But they do a nice job with this. I like it a lot...

The 2014 Holidays
I often find myself reflecting on this subject - at least once a year. And it only happens because of the difficulty that seems to be present. When it does, I am fully aware of the weight it adds to me. Figuratively, of course. And I am certainly not the on...

Four Degrees
That is the current temperature outside as I write this post. Nearly 1:00AM and I am still awake. What a surprise.... I suppose that has become the new normal over the past few weeks. Probably due to the changes in my work schedule; I have no doubt that the...

Historically, the last 31 days of any given year have been difficult for me. For some reason, this one has been especially hard. I think part of the reason for that is due to the issues I ran into with not being able to go to graduate school. As of right no...

One of The Chairman's best. And this whole album is spectacular.

It is incredibly cold outside. Over the past week this part of the world has had considerable snow. I believe the totals in the New England area vary between 36 and 40 inches since last Tuesday. Not only has it been incredibly cold and snowy but there have ...

Grover's Corners, New Hampshire - when Thornton Wilder wrote the play, and by extension the screenplay, he modeled Grover's Corners after the town of Peterborough, approximately halfway between Keene and Manchester. And Peterborough is the quintessential "Our Town."

Aaron Copland was approached to write the soundtrack music by Thornton Wilder himself, and at that time he was hard put to get it right. To his credit, I truly believe he did.

Measurable Snow
As I write this, I am watching snow fall outside of my house. It is not terribly cold out, but the snow is definitely falling. It's not a huge surprise; since we're into the second week of December there should be an expectation of snowfall by now. And I be...

Let's be honest. 2012 really, truly was not a good year for many people, myself included. There was a great deal of stress that so many people had to endure due to events that were beyond their contro...

Story
Introduction

I'm a Paramedic. I take care of injured and ill patients. Sometimes I deal with their problems. And I make sure I treat my patients as I would want to be treated.

At one time in my life I was a professional musician. I loved it. And I was much younger back then.

I am educated as a computer engineer, and I worked in the industry for just over 12 years. Some people wonder how someone like me would make a change like that - from music to computers to medicine. I wish I could tell you.

I was up there at the end of October, 2015. Had the summit to myself for about an hour. It was cold and windy but peaceful. Incredible views. The viewing center itself shows the history of the mountain as well as the Carthusian monastery that is located on the back side of the mountain, approximately 4 miles from the summit. And the overlook, approximately two-thirds of the way up the auto road, is as close as anyone can get as the community is strict. They do not allow visitors.

I've been a patient of Kathy Leahy off and on since 2006. My experience with her has been excellent. She is a caring physician, she is knowledgeable, and she does right by her patients. I would highly recommend her.
