Walrath Recruiting, Inc.

When I first came to Walrath Recruiting, I had an interview with one of Renee's people. It went very well, but I didn't hear back from them. I called and asked for updates, and they told me there was nothing available at that time. My wife also went to Walrath for assistance. She too has not heard anything back. I ended up finding something else, through another recruiter who happened to cold call me. Over a year and a half later, Renee emailed me a position where she felt I would be a good fit. This, to me is the benefit of having recruiters on your side. They build a portfolio of candidates, and work that portfolio as necessary. A recruiter is just that... a recruiter. They are not in the business of guaranteeing you a job. They are in the business of providing opportunities to qualified candidates. Some of the posts I'm reading here sound like sour grapes reviews. A job seeker is smart to spread their resumes across a wide variety of sources. Use many recruiters, good business social networking sites, shotgun effect your job applications etc. In the end, it's up to you, the job seeker to make yourself as marketable as possible. Recruiters can present the opportunity. They cannot guarantee you placement. To those who have written the very poor reviews, I suggest you polish yourselves to a brilliant shine before seeking employment. After all, it all starts and ends with us, and our presentation to the prospective employer. First impression is crucial. Renee came through for me. She remembered me and she gave me an opportunity, and its not because we're friends (we're not - I only know her as a business ally.) It's because I had something that was salable to her; enough that she did indeed remember me. That is why I'm giving Walrath the high score. I appreciate all she's done and will certainly refer anyone who also needs employment assistance to Walrath Recruiting.
