Wonderful! Simply wonderful!

Don’t despair at the tide of cultural glitter swamping young girls today. There are still writers producing funky female characters who don’t get their knickers in a twist at the prospect of a difficult challenge

Science is the Quincy of public funding.
Every episode is Quincy/science against the world, basically saying, "Why can't you see this?"
Every episode ends with Quincy/science being right.

Why puddles stop spreading, five ways physics affects your gas mileage, and calculating how long it would take to drive to Pluto are among this week's physics highlights.

These posters were produced at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 1947. The purpose of the posters was to remind personnel of radiation safety practices and also to let them know what the term "Health Physics" meant, i.e. radiation protection.  In 1947 the term was only 4 years old and no less confusing than now.

Science, Music, Writing & Lotsa Fun!
Introduction
Please feel free to introduce yourself after circling me. I would love to circle you back.

I have diverse interests. I like pretentious poetry, physics, computer science, MUSIC, Tupac and great big slobbering bwains. I am a drama-free attention whore. A hockey card, comic book, Russian lit lover, honest and goofy as hell. I can take care of myself, and you too, if you play your cards right sister.

I’m not afraid to say whats on my mind. Not just on the internet like some punk laptop gangster, but in the real world where it counts. Peace.

  • Museum ID - Publishes a journal and has recently completed a nine-book series of which one chapter of each is available to download for free. Free!
  • Cosmos: A Personal Voyage - One of the most inspirational science documentary series ever. The full episodes of Sagan's classic series "Cosmos." All 13 hours!
  • Enjoy! And don’t forget to let me know if you find any great, free learning-related resources online that I can add to the growing list.
