The Supreme Court just released a decision allowing physician-assisted suicide in certain limited situations. This will have far-reaching effects for Canadians living with and dying from terminal illnesses. In the days, weeks and months ahead, we will see a lot of activity from Parliament as they work to create a new law, and can only hope that this new law will strike a balance between protecting the vulnerable and allowing for a truly free choice for those who are suffering.

And that's a wrap. We are officially closed for the holidays, and will reopen on January 5. Best wishes for the holidays from all of us at Wall-Armstrong & Green. See you in 2015!

Do you like music? Do you support local musicians? If so, come out to Celebrate Barrie's Battle of the Bands! The show takes place Friday, June 6th from 7:00pm to 10:00pm at the Celebrate Barrie Star Stage located in Centennial Park (at Lakeshore Drive and Victoria Street).

Deborah was recently invited to speak to resident doctors at the Family Practice Training Unit at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, as well as their families, about the importance of having a formally named substitute decision-maker for care and treatment. We are always happy to speak about this and other topics.

Last night, our whole office went to the Simcoe Community Services annual fashion show fundraiser. We had so much fun supporting such a good cause.
