Wadim Schreiner is a communication researcher with extensive experience in the development and execution of engagement strategies.
Very analytical and methodical in his approach his expertise lies in the practical application of research data in leadership and organisational management.
Born and raised in Germany and Russia, Wadim applied his knowledge of different cultures to his studies of journalism and communication in South Africa where he obtained a Masters Degree from the North West University and where he co-founded his first business, Media Tenor South Africa, which focused on the systematic and analytical assessment of media coverage for the planning and execution of communication strategies. Over the last 19 years he worked with several organisations and groups in various African countries towards the development of an improved understanding of news information flow, impact of media coverage on public perception and the relevance of social media engagements on corporate reputation. A seasoned contributor to academic and mainstream publications, frequent media expert on reputation management, media and socio-economic trends Wadim was selected amongst the top 40 individuals in the media in South Africa in 2012.
He served on the advisory board of the Harvard Business School/University of Pretoria Research Study on Integrated Reporting and Corporate Governance from 2012-2013 and has been the Deputy Chairperson of the South African Media Monitoring and Measurement Association since its inception in 2012.His knowledge of corporate thinking has earned him an excellent reputation in the public service sector as a facilitator of dialogue between government and private sector interests, with ongoing consultations between various government departments and corporate organisations towards the improvement of a social licence to operate.
