I was disappointed in this place. I ate there years ago and loved it! But when I went a few weeks ago, the food was awful. I ordered the chicken alfredo. It smelled bad and tasted spoiled. The lady was super friendly which was nice but like I said, the food was disappointing for how much you spend there.

I was raised on V's. For every anniversary, birthday, Mothers Day - that was where my grandparents wanted to be; it was our family's "special occasion" place. We dressed-up, got excited... As an adult, I feel the same way. (Don't worry, though - jeans are OK. So are nice evening clothes) V's is classic, old-school Italian restaurant. Nothing nouveau, no shiny, mirrored accents, no uber-trendy square plates. The decor is subdued lighting, rich colours and Brat Pack dining music. The menu is equally classic and what you'd expect. V's has booths with little brass plates names & dates of special anniversaries, engagements, etc. My grandparents, great-aunts&uncles, and parents have a plate there; now my husband & I do too. The staff is amazing ! The wait-staff jobs are handed-down & coveted; when you dine at V's, you'll see why - you're treated like VIPs and old friends at the same time. Be part of KC history, and make your own special times at V's. Get your name on a special occasion brass plate at your favorite booth. Please give it a try, and you'll be a fan!

It was one of my best Italian restaurant experiences ever! Stopped in at the bar and met a friendly bar tender who served incredible Ciroc vodka pours! The ambiance in the booths was awesome and romantic for my husband and myself, The waitress had been there for 16 years and was friendly and efficient. I loved their Italian salad dressing so much that I bought a bottle. If you go to Kansas City and want an awesome meal you need to take a stop here!

1st time was great, tonight it was terrible! $55 for a couple and the last cash they will ever get from us! My ceaser salad was warm complete with wilted lettuce, the bread had been sitting out so long it was crusty on both the italian and the other kind. The Angel Hair di’ Angelo was hardly warm and had very little taste at all, I think the pasta held what little taste it had. The baked lasagna could have come out of the freezer section at the grocery store. Terrible to see such a nice place drop the ball.
