Nail salon complete with pedicure ‘thrones’ offers a royal experience.

I really enjoyed this article about a nail salon in Jackson Heights, New York. This nail salon got very creative by deciding to create a royal theme. As you will see in the article, customers get to sit on an 8 foot tall pedicure station that is designed to look like a throne. What I really like about their design is that besides being unique, it’s not over the top. It looks nice but you can tell that the cost to decorate the salon in this manner wasn’t too expensive.

It’s interesting to see how salons find the balance between having a nice salon and being economical in the process. It’s extremely important to give your potential customers a positive first impression. If a customer comes into your salon and it does not look nice or well kept, they will most likely either not give your business or not want to come back. On the other hand if a salon is too over the top in how they decorate, it can turn a customer off because they know the cost of extravagant decorations will get passed onto them.

One other thing I thought was interesting about this salon is that guests can also snack on fresh fruit and watch movies while they wait. I really like this because it prevents potential customers from being bored. In the service industry, when a customer is waiting, seconds can feel like minutes. Having inexpensive food and entertainment available can help a customer forget they are waiting and help them enjoy their experience even more.

What do you think about what this salon has done? I’d like to hear your feedback. We’re always looking for new ideas to make sure we are making our clients 100% happy and satisfied.

Time and time again I've had bad experiences here, don't waste your time or money! Poor service, rude employees, unsanitary, and not quality work. Every time I've been there I've made and appointment and every time I've had to wait at least 25 minutes, why even take appointments unless you honor them? Today a couple walked in the same time as me for an appointment at 7 and had to wait until 7:50! This is the part that irritates me the most, in April I bought their groupon which was: gel nails (manicure not included) with a spa pedicure with regular polish. Per regulations I bought two one to use right away and one to use this month prior to a wedding. Well I went to use mine today and they changed the terms to a gel pedicure, which is not what I purchased nor what I received the last time and my previously redeemed groupon also showed a gel pedicure. Shady business, shady service, NOTHING GOOD about this place!

Very bad service. I did a walk in for acrylic nails and I was advised to wait an hour. I went back in when I was advised to come in. I waited for 20 mins to get service. Once the nail tech started to do my nails she asked if I had any plans for today? (Mother's day) and I stated that I do. She continued to do my nails until she glued on the fake nails and stated that she needs to do this customers nails first. So initially I waited an extra 40 mins for her to finish with the customer's nails (I was left with extremely long nails as well (very uncomfortable)). Once she finished with that customer she continued to do mine. During the nail cut she mentions that she's going to have to charge me $5 for 'long' nails. Never in my nail salon experience I have gotten charged for 'long' nails (and I've been to that salon before). At this point I was very frustrated with the service and also her nail technique. She did them so crooked and uneven I had to go to another salon to get them fixed.

Had a Groupon for $20 half price gel pedicure. The staff insisted that it was for standard polish even after showing and reading the Groupon to them. There were 3 others with the Groupon who came in as well. Eventually they honored the coupon . Pedicure was average

I took my daugther today to have full set acrylic done, every time we went here she was charged $20 since she's a student and she gets the "student discount" Well today that did NOT happened the asian lady kept on saying 3 hours which I had no idea was she was talking about and so my child got charged full price which I think is really STUPID because in the window of that place they have a poster saying student discount for $20 with student id and my child had her id with her So if there's a time frame that they will honor the discount they should note that in the poster outside becuase how in the world will the customer know! And other thing is that the asian lady cut my daugthers finger and she didn't even apologized of her mistake We said that we weren't going to go to this place again but today we gave it a second chance but they SCREWED UP AGAING, so we are NO LONGER GOING TO THIS NAIL SALON AGAIN!!!!

The last time I visited this salon, I watched closely at their sanitation methods. I was very disappointed at what I saw. I watched one of the girls give a pedicure to someone and after the pedicure she rinsed the tools off in the sink with water for just a couple of minutes. I did not see any evidence of sanitation occurring. After she rinsed the tools off, she grabbed a bag from the cabinet that is used when tools have been sanitized. Five minutes later, she was using these same tools to give a manicure. She then had the nerve to sit down with the sanitation envelop giving the person the illusion of sterilized tools when it was not even true. This is unacceptable! I have been a regular to this salon and it used to have autoclaves. What has happened to the quality here since new management took over? I am so disappointed at the short cuts being used and they are putting the public and my health at risk for infections. I do not recommend going here, and if you do, watch for yourself how they are putting your health at risk. Hopefully management will get their act together and start providing a safe place. I am so disappointed.

I paid really good money to get my friends and my nails done. i really enjoyed the lady that i had, but she wasn't really experienced in what i wanted to do. i got the coffin shaped nails. the cuticles were horrible and the my nails weren't attached fully to my actual nail. there were bubbles in my nail. i had a ton of dried glue everywhere around my fingers. So, i called in to get them fixed. the same lady was there and she tried to fix it again. it was better, but still not good at all. So, what was supposed to take 20 minutes, turned into an hour. the manager lady then proceeded to fix my nails. they stripped the powder gel from my nails and they wouldn't re put it on because i was short for time. but they didn't offer to do it later on in the week. the manager lady or whoever she was did a better job.. my Friend, she got full set, powered gel, manicure. they were fabulous!! until 5-6 days later. she only had 4 left! 4 POWDER GEL NAILS LEFT AFTER 5-6 DAYS!!! so , we called the other days because i work and she can't get around. but she called in and they wouldn't fix her nails unless we paid again. so i am Never EVER going back and I'm going to let people know my experience.

They did a good job on my feet, my manicure was okay. Though they kept adding things, I was very confused, my original price basically doubled...the lady doing my feet started putting a silver line without asking, so I just went with the added charge, same with the other foot stuff I couldn't figure out what I was being charged for and what I wasn't. When I tried to get the line to match on my hands the lady doing my hands put some random glitter line, not the nice silver one like on my feet....I might go here again. But I'll be sticking to the simple stuff and refusing all other services. I wish the program had a more complete description of the services provided for each price.
