One more thing that we can use the light cache for, besides the adaptive (dome) lights - automatic camera exposure and white balance.

It's a happy day (or sad, depending on the viewpoint), but it looks like we will finally be ditching ICL in favor of the Microsoft C++ compiler on Windows. Just tested Visual Studio 2017 version 15.5 and it seems to bring the running time of our code very close to or faster than what we get from Intel C++ (and without the endless stream of compiler bugs).
