A world-changing moment?
In a major victory for President Barack Obama, Democratic Sen. Barbara Mikulski of Maryland announced support for the Iran nuclear deal Wednesday, providing the White House the votes it needs to prevent Republicans from scuttling the agreement.

‘Dounia’ is the most soulful song I ever listened to. Phenomenal. So glad I discovered this amazing Euro-African artist.

Vincent Taeger - a French drummer who played on the song - is a revelation.

He's regained his senses!
Mr. Shyamalan, whose early studio movies were hits, starting with “The Sixth Sense,” has shifted from lumbering projects like “After Earth” and back to bringing his own stories to the screen.

"Renewable energy was the biggest contributor to Germany’s electricity supply in 2014, with nearly 26 percent of the country’s power generation coming from clean sources." #100percentrenewable
2014 was an exciting year for renewable energy. Denmark, the UK, Germany, Scotland and Ireland contributed to worldwide capacity growth in solar and wind power

Until recently, Chromebooks were typically one of two types: extremely cheap with lots of sacrifices on features and design, or a beautifully made laptop that was far too expensive to justify the...

“In short, it lets Mr. Page focus. On everything.”
From Google’s start, Larry Page has been afflicted with a desire for two competing corporate virtues: focus and expansiveness.

An important counterargument.
Do Americans who are upset about Cecil even realize how terrifying animals can be?

The story of Pablo Escobar and the Columbian Narcos. Terrific show. Now playing on Netflix. Absolutely riveting.

My respect for Amazon has fallen by several notches - not because of their demanding work culture, but because of the reported intolerance for family and health crises.
The company is conducting an experiment in how far it can push white-collar workers to get them to achieve its ever-expanding ambitions.

Repulsive and horrific.
Claiming the Quran’s support, the Islamic State codifies sex slavery in conquered regions of Iraq and Syria and uses the practice as a recruiting tool.

Introduction
I'm deeply passionate about authentic music made with some combination of string instruments and percussion: alternative rock bands like Pearl Jam to the emerging Indian fusion rock scene with bands like Agam, Raghu Dixit Project, AST, Advaita, & the Tarun Balani Collective.

And I live for good books - in print - from the pop psychology of Malcolm Gladwell to the modern-day philosophical ruminations of Nassim Nicholas Taleb to a fun yarn by writers like John Verdon.

Pretty good - we tried the grilled salmon, mahi-mahi, etc. The sides are great, and the wine selection is nice. E.g., sautéed cauliflower with toasted almonds...

Sensational! Stumbled across this place while wandering about old Lahaina. You'd never guess there's such a great chef working at such a plain-looking place. The food's not greasy, the flavors are sublime...I could go on and on. The fish curry, the tandoori rotis, the dal - everything was delicious and well-made.

Perhaps a case of mismatched expectations, but the pizza is just not at the level you'd expect from a joint with a wood-fired brick oven. Seemed more like Pizza Hut! The wait staff is friendly and helpful, but the food's not great.

What's good: chicken biryani topped off with toasted almonds. Well-made tandoori rotis. What's not: old, dull decor.

Try the spicy fried rice. It's pretty good, but it's inconsistent - getting a good meal is a coin toss!

Can I rate this 10 stars?! Incredible food - try the fish and shrimp with a side of veggies and rice. Lots of places can grill fish well, but no one makes vegetables so flavorful. Add to that great service, a relaxed vibe, and a good location...

Tranquil and perfect for kids and families. We went there in June - the waves were gentle, and the water was shallow by the sand - safe for kids.
