Sometimes the smartest actions are the ones you don’t take. That old dictum seems relevant at a moment when the markets are a paradox: Each new high only makes many veteran investors more nervous that disaster looms. Between lofty valuations, slowdowns from Europe to China, conflict from Ukraine to Syria, the end of the Fed’s…

#Windows10  for IoT is now available for Raspberry Pi 2 as a developer preview. There's a ridiculously cool #HoloLens /robot demo, too.

Back in February, when we launched Raspberry Pi 2, the sharp-eyed among you will have noticed the folks at Microsoft making an announcement about bringing Windows 10 for IoT to the Raspberry Pi. We're excited to share that it landed today – along with a ridiculously cool demo.

I love this little gem of a spa in the neighborhood. The staff is very polite and friendly and they have really good therapists. I have not had a single bad experience there and don't expect to. If there is any misunderstanding or mis-communication, they are quick to rectify it. This is one of the few places remaining where they still value the customer. I like it so much that I have a membership there. They are well equipped and offer an abundance of services.

Nobody wants to be a statistic. I had heard some good reviews about this place from friends and I'm really a no fuss customer. I'm not looking for a 'custom' cut or anything. I'm one of those people that just got tired of cutting my own hair and dealing with the mess. I called Floyd's this afternoon and spoke with the receptionist to see if I needed to get an appointment, or if I could just walk in. She said, oh you can just walk in - no appointments needed whatsoever. Great! I thought to myself and after I took care of work and stopped by the ATM because I like to tip in cash (and I'm a decent tipper - say 5-10 bucks for a haircut), I went in at 7PM. The reception recognized that I was a new customer, and put my name down in RED on her plate. She said it would be a 25-30 minute wait. Oh well, I thought, so much for walking in; so I picked up a magazine and settled on the chairs. After about 30 minutes, I noticed that a guy that had walked in AFTER me got a seat. Then, after another 10 minutes had passed, another person that had walked ahead of me. WTF? I thought to myself. Two people having put their names down and gone to walk around seemed suspicious. Most men don't do that kind of thing. So after about 55 minutes had passed since I walked in, I went up to the counter to see that two or three names BELOW my name on the list had their names scratched. So I calmly asked the receptionist what the deal was. She said "oh! so sorry, some call-ins came in and we had to move you back a bit. It'll be another 15-20 minutes longer. I'm so sorry". It's one thing to be sorry, but it's another to NOT let a customer know about this 'call-in' process when they call you asking about appointments. It's also very UNFAIR to put a call-in from a call that came in after I had walked in above me in priority. I did not want to create a scene so I drove away and called the store back. Oh, and right before I walked away, I was talking to the receptionist and the lady actually stopped me mid-sentence to pick up the phone. Clearly, a customer that is standing right there with a grievance is of little importance to these people (or they are understaffed). Either way does not help me, the customer with money in hand. So, on the phone this lady explains to me that there is a call-in process where you can hold the time (but II did not get any answers on how that puts a call-in customer higher in priority on the list). She also gave me a belabored song and dance on how I can go pick my own stylist and also look at their schedules if I have a preference blah blah blah. Why WOULD I even consider giving them another chance? I asked for the manager who happens to be away on vacation and is allegedly very good at calling customers back. I'll see if that happens on Monday as promised. Needless to say, I'm NEVER going back to this place. They screwed me at hello. I'd give 0 stars if I could. I'm "SURE" they have great stylists and I'm "SURE" most people don't have a bad experience there. but who likes being a statistic?
