I got a little carried away and wrote letters to our elected officials here in San Diego. That includes all of our City Council members, the Mayor, and the Board of County Supervisors, urging them to support reinstating the San Diego Film Commission. All in all, 17 letters went out. You can see a generic version at www.video-gear.com/images/SDFilmCommissionLetter.pdf  If you feel inclined to copy it and send it to your City Council member, please do. The only way to move our industry forward is to get involved and do something!

My still camera gets passed around the office quite a bit. Usually there is just a lot of random project stuff on it. Occasionally, there is a pretty cool photo, like this one.

Please join me in backing a feature to be shot here in San Diego, WE WERE ÍSLANDS on Kickstarter. It's a feature-length dramatic comedy about strangers who become lovers and strangers again over four years of their lives. The filmmakers are trying to raise 54K and only have until Saturday morning to get there! You can learn more about the project, watch the promo video, pick a perk, and make a contribution here: http://kck.st/1lKw6Xv
