I've always wondered what the difference was! And now I know, thanks to +Frank Nyikos !!
Choosing the proper potting mix blend from the vast number being marketed can be daunting unless you know your needs and the right ingredients required.

How's about a little Hallowe'en philosophy? http://decodedpast.com/professor-dien-ho-zombies-meaning-life/ This professor thinks that giving up and allowing yourself to be zombified, in the event of a zombie apocalypse, is a legitimate choice. You?
Professor Ho Dien gives insight into the meaning of life, and the possibility of going over to the "other side" in the case of a zombie apocalypse.

A wicked thought - you could scare the bejeebies out of all the people who have upset you. ;)

It's this weekend - what do you think? Useless gesture or game-changer?
Can the upcoming Trucker strike, drive to DC, and consumer boycott plans for October 11-13 have an effect on the economy?

Be careful, Mommas!
When you're pregnant, you may be trying to avoid medications, but don't assume an herbal remedy is safe for your baby just because it's natural.

Babies in the womb are more developed than you think..
By watching infants with 4D ultrasounds over ten weeks, researchers have found that babies in the womb learn to anticipate touch.

One of these days... one of these days.. To the Moon, LADEE!
LADEE, NASA's Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer, is an unmanned spacecraft that is bringing us back to the moon, by proxy.

Great article by criminologist Dianne Jordan
Professional athletes are no strangers to the criminal justice system with one particular league outshining the rest in terms of arrest rates.

I read the piece. And this is SO believable. If I had to put a word to it, I'd say celebrities and sports figures begin to look upon themselves as gods.

Time for a citizen's recall - don't buy the Foster Farms chicken, people!
Inspectors linked Foster Farms chicken from three California farms to an outbreak of antibiotic-resistant salmonella, but the chicken is still on shelves.

OK - quick online poll: How many of these facts about Ancient China did you already know? (I knew the bit about the Great Wall, but only because I watched a documentary about it a few years ago)
How much do you know about Chinese History? Check your knowledge about the Great Wall, the Diamond Sutra, and the First Emperor's Tomb, among others.

Interesting choices... What do you think?
The White House determines which websites remain up during the shutdown, and which are blocked or shut down. Where are the costs involved in running a site?

No, you're not spoiling him, pick him up - cuddle him - respond when he cries. It's good for his IQ, empathy levels, and many other metrics. Babies are meant to be nurtured - read the research - and pass along to other parents!
New research shows that nurturing as a parent, including responding to your baby's cries and carrying your infant, improves empathy, IQ and communication.

Honest, fast, and accurate. After another mechanic shop broke my car, they fixed it. Thanks, W.C. Auto Center for restoring my faith in mechanics everywhere.

Fast response, friendly service, helpful when things aren't quite right. If you don't have time to code it yourself (or don't have the expertise) Beluga Labs will help you out. Five Stars. :)

Excellent vet services. Excellent customer service. These people really love animals, and will go the extra mile to make sure your pet is well-taken-care-of. (I understand they take care of livestock too, but my experience is only with cats and dogs) Also not insanely expensive like most vets, and not overbearing on vaccinating for everything under the sun whether they need it or not. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.
