The ignorance that people like her display for all to see is just astounding and appalling. What is worse is how there is an entire population of voting Americans who believe what she believes in regards to religion, equality, and healthcare.

White privilege is an amazing thing...

The armed group that has taken over a national wildlife refuge has introduced a common law grand jury.

Ahhh...Come on CBS!!!
Yesterday, Star Trek fans were up in arms at the news that CBS had filed a lawsuit seeking to shut down the hugely successful crowdfunded fan production Axanar, after a year of tolerating the project’s development. Also surprised? Axanar producer Alec Peters, who found out about it by reading said news. Ooh err.

I've always thought that this mentality, regarding the US military, was very strange.
Because , essentially, it is the same as saying..
I don't have a problem with funding a military which functions like pirates.
As long as those who reap the bounty have to pay for it.

So, the problem, imo, isn't just that "The People" fit the bill for this piracy, while the "wealthy elites" reap the bounty.
It's a bit deeper than that!!

Regardless of who "fits the bill" or who "reaps the bounty", the US military should not function as pirates, for anyone at all, foreign or domestic, in the first place!!

Profits should be completely out of the question!!
The sole function of the US military should be one of "defense"..Period!!
The "defense" of the lives of US citizens and their allies abroad.
The only benefit should be in the "securing of the lives of US citizens and the lives of US allies"!!

And that, I have no problem paying for!!
Nor should any other citizen of this country have a problem paying for that!!

But, everyone should have a problem with the US military functioning as pirates who secure profits!!

Proud of our President and his legacy. He endured a barrage of bigotry and hate as he strove to better our nation.

Barack Hussein Obama, 44th President of the United States will be remembered as the FDR of our new century.

Thank you Sir.

The key point of his speech that I know right-wingers hated is when he pointed out how presidents before him, even the NRA, John McCain etc all pushed for stronger gun control and yet, when he wants it, no can do they fight him. I applaud the man for what he said today and showing emotion, just because right-wingers and bigots have no feelings for nothing in this world means that he has to, he showed that he is more of a man than they will ever be.
