DESCRIPTION:
Searching for and getting hired into a really great job is….well, it’s a job in itself!  There are many new skills to learn and many resources to investigate and access.  It can be overwhelming.  Wouldn’t it be great to have an experienced partner guiding you through the job search process?  You need an online career mentor!  In this hangout you’ll learn how to access an online career mentor to help you in your job search or career building efforts through a unique web-based program called the Veteran eMentor Program.

The Veteran eMentor Program is a partnership with the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring our Heroes initiative. The program’s goal is to help veterans find great jobs and build their careers with the help of volunteer career mentors who work in the veteran’s target career field.  Mentors may be veterans themselves but veteran status is not a requirement.  Veteran protégés select a mentor on the Veteran eMentor website and then work together to achieve the veteran’s career goals.  Veteran protégés can select mentors to work with on any personal or professional challenge they face…not just on job and career.  Come learn how you can benefit from having a mentor in Veteran eMentor!
