Socialism is immoral, yet people seem to like it because they enjoy the "benefits" of "free for them" social services. No one really pays attention to the fact that it's just a bureaucratic form of robbery. When you see someone begging on the side of the street or pan handling at the convenience store you have a choice to offer them your spare change or buy them a hot meal. Often times you do not because they are of dubious character or you question if that money you give will go towards food & shelter rather than drugs or alcohol etc. Regardless it's your choice, your decision to be charitable or not, and to assess the validity of such charitable actions. The point is, there are many ways you can help people, but it should be your choice to do so, your decision and yours alone. We need less government and less government spending of money that is forcefully taken from it's citizens, All those "free" social services sound nice, but shouldn't it be your choice if you can/want to contribute to social programs? I think Penn summed up my feelings succinctly.

This isn't a debate, don't pester me with "But I love socialism" "think of the children" or "What about the so & so!?" If you disagree with me then fine, I really don't mind. I'm just venting my frustrations at a broken and corrupt system and ideal. Let's just leave it at that.
