Open Access to Scholarly Publications at Princeton | Freedom to Tinker
https://freedom-to-tinker.com/blog/appel/open-access-scholarly-publications-princeton too early for a deep thought or almost-funny quip. But, this is interesting.

Why, oh why did we steadily cut NASA's budget? This video would have been awesome marketing. Hell, Bravo could make a reality tv show out of this.

I pray that this won't be as annoying as Facebook games
Vic Gundotra originally shared:

Sharing is about more than just conversations. The experiences we share are another great way to build relationships. So to help you do this, we’re adding games to Google+.

With games on Google+, we’re focused on giving you control. When you're ready to play, the Games page will show you gameplay updates from your circles, your latest game notifications, and information on what's been played recently. This means your Stream will stay focused on conversations with the people you care about.

We’re starting with a small number of fun and interactive games to play on Google+, and we want to give a big thanks to the developers who’ve worked with us to make them available. Check out our Official Google Blog post for a full list.

If you're a developer, you can get the lowdown on our new developer blog:
http://googleplusplatform.blogspot.com

While games in Google+ will gradually roll out, we look forward to making them available to everyone in the field trial soon. When you see the Games icon on the top of Google+, give it a try and send us your feedback.

Thanks for your continued support. Let’s play!

Well, since there aren't many posts popping up on a regular basis, I shall say googly-googly-goog-goog-googly-goo.

That is all.

After reading all of the changes Facebook is implementing, (http://www.news.com.au/technology/dislike-logging-out-wont-stop-facebook-spying-on-you/story-e6frfro0-1226146982274), I'm fairly uncomfortable. I only want one creepy sleezball stalking me, and right now Google is looking better and better.
FACEBOOK users have given a big thumbs down to the social networking site after it emerged their web activity is being tracked - even after logging out.

The sad thing is, people will see this as a reason to give prisoners less rather than give students more.

So, while companies buy patents from other companies to use against Android, Google just buys the companies with patents.

Would have been more fun if they bought Nokia as a spite against Microsoft.

Anyone else up for moving/hiding in Montana and waiting out the next decade or so?
Wall Street had its worst day since the 2008 financial crisis, as fearful investors reacted to the United States losing its coveted AAA credit rating.

Game of Thrones was awesome - watched the entire season with Chris over the weekend. I had to nerd it up and buy the book, which has so far remained faithful to the series, nevermind that it was written first :)

The show was awesome and they got re-upped for a second season the same time next year. Also, I just got confirmation that the next book in the series will arrive at my house by Wednesday. I've been waiting four years for that.
