Affordable Engine Rebuilding Services

The Chrysler Dodge Jeep 4.7 is our most popular engine that we rebuild on a constant basis every month. It's always interesting to see what service is being performed on your engine. On that note, I pulled some photos from our blog, so you get an idea of the services we offer.

This is a basic standard rebuild. Here's what we do:
First we inspect the engine to see if any obvious damage has occurred, noting anything that needs closer inspection.
Then we tear everything apart and magnaflux for cracks. It's off to the hot tank and cleaning to remove all the excess gunk, grease, and residues. We give it another scrub, taking off any remnant gaskets and such.

Now it's time for Machine Services.
Engine block gets Bore and Honed.
Crank and Cam get Reground and Polished.
Cylinder Heads get a Valve Job.
Recondition the connecting rods.

Another cleaning to remove any debris, then we give the block and heads a few coats of paint to seal them and prevent rusting of the bare metal.

Dodges are notorious for needing New Valve Seats, so in addition to the Basic Valve Job, we might need to install new reinforced seats. If the inspection revealed Dropped Seats, we install them. Same if New Valve guides are needed. Any broken or missing parts are replaced at an extra cost, if needed.

After the machine work is done, we are ready to install the New Engine Rebuild Kit. Kit includes: New pistons, rings, engine bearings, full gasket set, freeze plugs, thrust washers, timing kit, and oil pump.

We assemble the Short Block then bolt on the heads and remaining parts. Now we have complete Long Block engine remanufactured.

This process is the same for both HO (high output) and Non-HO versions of the 4.7 engine. We rebuild both.

That's the rebuild in a nutshell. If you have questions or need a rebuild, feel free to contact us for an estimate 818 767-6603, or see pricing on our website under the Engines link.
