I completely agree with this. The problem is that the accounts are generally offered by banks offering low interest rate checking accounts and when they do offer investments they come with monthly fees. The mutual fund companies need to get into this.
As many of you know, we switched to a high-deductible health insurance plan (HDHP) this year. Along with that change came the opportunity to open a health

$100 on a rapidly depreciating item that you can get new for $200 and you have to pay another $49 for the replacement? Ridiculous price for insurance. Save your old phone just in case (or buy used on eBay) if something bad happens before you can get a carrier subsidy.

LOL! So I guess that this may be the appropriate place to share my concern that my recent FB status post might possibly be construed as an endorsement of Mr. Paul. Of course my words, if properly parsed clearly indicate that I stated no actual opinion on the subject.
Singer Kelly Clarkson scrambled Thursday to beat back a fire storm unleashed when a day earlier she tweeted her endorsement of Republican Ron Paul for president.

"Our point is that, rather like any clever politician, Mr. Buffett points to the tax returns of a mere 400 to justify a tax increase on hundreds of thousands of Americans who aren't nearly as rich. Since President Obama's tax increase would hit filers who make only $200,000 a year, Mr. Buffett is lending his credibility to raise taxes on millions of the nonrich."

Excellent article. How do we get back to the center?

""Most of the money is now not with the parties," said Davis, who once headed the GOP House campaign effort. "There's no centering force in politics," he said. "The money has moved to the extremes. Everything has moved to the extremes."
