Hi everyone! Before to start the 14 days challenge I decided to practice the basics.

Here are some exercise from the "understanding the eye" lesson for critique.

In particular I have problem with positioning the eyebrows, any tips or tricks?
Plus, I feel like there is something off in general but I cannot figure out what.. :S
Finally, I used a textured brush, should I try to repeat the exercise with just soft and hard brush?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi there! I am new to the community, but it seems very vibrant and inspiring. I am starting with the old Istebrak videos.. since the new ones looked so useful, I decided to come back to the basics and try to fill the gaps.

I would like to start the 14 days challenge, but I have some questions/I need some suggestions:
1. How does the challenge exactly work? I need to draw a face/head and then wait for feedbacks and then draw the same subject again or I can draw another face with different features but applying the principles I received from critiques?
2. Do you use reference to start, or is it better to try from the beginning to do everything without reference?
3. Is the one with the body a totally different challenge, or should I do 7 day just head and 7 day head + body?
4. Finally, do you suggest to practice first on the different facial features (following for example istebrak's video on the lips, eyes, etc) before to do the challenge?

Thanks to everyone, I hope to catch up soon on the live session, work permitting.

Cheers

Hi there, I am the chair of the Scotland Chapter of the Marie Curie Alumni Association. In December, we are organising a seminar on robotics and AI, comparing how is described in sci-fi culture to what is the current development of the field. If you are interested in contributing with a talk to the event, or you know someone that could be, please contact me for more details. :)
