On or off season Vail Cascade is truly a four diamond hotel. I was greeted at the front desk by Alex. Alex was extremely pleasant and polite. He checked us in in less than 5 minutes. While being checked in, Joe the concierge had the vehicle unpacked and loaded up. In the time it took to park the car and walk to our room, Joe had already arrived at our room and unloaded our things. Joe took the time to hang up our coats, show us the room and make a few local recommendations. I must admit that we spent sometime at the bar. The bartender Warren was an absolute delight! He had knowledge about different beverages as well as a creative flair for making them. While at the hotel, we dined at the Atwater restaurant. Between the three of us we had steak, salmon and chicken. I was able to taste each portion and they were all delicious. During our three day stay we did pop into the gym for a brief moment; for the people that must get a workout in Vail does not disappoint. I must apologize in advance because I can not remember the name of the must important person that we interacted with, however it was either Jasmine or Jessica. I will call her "J". We spent a total of 3 nights with Vail Cascade. When we got home, we realized that we had left behind a necklace and two rings. The next morning I called the hotel and spoke to J. She had someone go up to the room and they were able to locate the items. J had them sent Fedex. I'd like to end with we will be visiting Vail Cascade sooner rather than later and that even if your name was not mentioned w/in this review I know that it takes a wonderful crew to make things happen. To the housekeepers, turn down servers, waiters, waitresses and all others that made our stay as perfect as it was a big THANK YOU to you all.

Not sure how this is considered a 4 star hotel. Customer service from the time we arrived at valet until we checked out was more like a budget line hotel. Valet didn't smile or open the doors. We weren't able to check in to our room until after 5:30 for a 4 check in (we had plans for 5:30 but oh well) after they told us at 4:30 it'll be ready in a couple minutes. I didn't see one person that worked at this hotel smile. The work atmosphere must be horrible and it reflects in the customer service. I'll be back only if the price drops to Holiday Inn pricing.

My Fiance and I went up for the long Memorial Day weekend. The resort was superb and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. While it is still the "mud season" there was plenty to do within the resort and spa. Racquetball, Basketball, massages and even pool time (heat pool) are just a few things guests can enjoy. It was my first ever Groupon experience and man it was worth it! During the off-season you can enjoy up to 50% off restaurants in Vail Village and Lionshead, which the resort has a free shuttle that runs every 15 minutes to take you there. I highly recommend this gorgeous resort!

This is the only place I stay when I visit Vail. I've booked here several times over the years. Each and every time, I receive excellent service. Always helpful and knowledgeable staff. The room is cleaned more than I require it to be. Food is good. Room service timely. Beautiful river and mountain views from every room I've had. Definitely go on a weekend for the complimentary s'mores and movie by the pool during the warmer months!

It started badly on arrival and never really improved. When we arrived the bellboys didn't offer to help with our cases until I took one of their luggage trolleys myself. At the reception desk, I asked if there was a possibility of paying extra for a room with more floorspace (there had only been an alpine room available at the time I booked). The guy on the desk told me that for an extra $200 per night we could have a bigger room so we agreed (despite already having paid $750 a night). We got to the room and found it to be the room I had originally booked; I checked the resort's website which gives the floor area of the rooms and confirmed this. We returned to the desk and queried this, the guy was adamant that I had booked a resort room and that the upgrade was to the alpine room. Despite me showing him my booking confirmation email he continued to argue that this was not the case! He then had the cheek to offer us the ''upgrade'' for half the price! I told him to give us the room I originally booked and funnily enough he told us to stay in that one for ''free''. I did mention this debacle at check-out and the person I spoke to seemed completely unperturbed about it, which is very concerning. We made a point of not charging anything to the room after that as it seemed rather underhand. Funnily enough they did charge room service to our room that we paid for in cash. So beware if you're going to charge anything in this resort. I realise plenty of people may stay here and not have such problems but feel that it's worth a warning. We had another incident during our stay that a member of housekeeping threw a bag from a store with a load of price tags and receipts inside in the trash. We were keeping these for an insurance claim as the airline lost our ski bag! The bag was beside a suitcase on the other side of the room from the trash can so I have no idea why she took it upon herself to do this! The room itself was small and very dated, well overdue refurbishment. I've stayed in a three star hotel in another resort and it was far superior to this. Whether some rooms are worse than others and we got put in the shabbiest because it was a third party booking I'm not sure. We didn't use the hot tub as it was pretty busy most of the time with it being over New Year. The restaurant was good enough. The breakfast buffet was good, dinner menu okay for a couple of nights but not extensive enough that you would eat there every night. The bar area was very small and it was almost impossible to get seats, but the servers/bar staff were great. The market cafe sells drinks, sandwiches etc but is very overpriced if you're buying stuff to take to your room. The resort shuttle was great, we headed into Vail or to the west mall most nights. The concierge staff are excellent for helping you out with finding your way around or recommending things to do. Luckily we moved to a real four star resort in Beaver Creek which was worlds apart from the Cascade and considerably cheaper for a suite more than twice the size. Had I not paid upfront for the booking we would have moved to another resort immediately.

I've stayed at the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa on a few occasions during off season, and have always had clean rooms, great service, and awesome prices considering the accommodations. It's also worth mentioning that the Aria Resort & Spa (access included) is one of the better options in the Vail Valley. For winter visitors, access to the Cascade Chairlift is just a short walk away, and you can ski/ride back to the base at the end of the day.

It was a nice stay. I loved the atmosphere and the spa was nice. The food wasn't so good, though. At least, not a match for its price, although this might be because I'm from a more moderate family. For example, the normal breakfast course (omlette, sausage, pancake, fruits) was a hundred bucks for four people. Besides that, the employees were very polite and helpful and so although it didn't score a hundred, I definitely recommend Vail Cascade.

Nice hotel....BUT BEWARE if you book via priceline or other booking services they will not disclose that the hotel will charge you a 29.00 per night resort fee at check out. Priceline seemed like a good deal for 120.00 per night but not after the hotel hammered us for 29.00 per night additional resort fee...RIP OFF...BEWARE
