I've been with them for two months, so far so good. They are always helpful when I have had to contact them with questions. It feels good getting away from the big providers who generally treat you worse than some of the reviews here. The price is good and they seem to be trying! That's more than I can say for previous providers I have been with. I have had to leave them unfortunately. There was a constant issue being able to watch the World Juniors hockey every time Canada played, the games were unwatchable. I have had to switch to a big provider who I hate dealing with, but at least their service works. Sorry VMedia

We signed up with them less than a month ago and initally the service was good. Then on thanksgiving weekend their service went down for 3 days and is still not up and is still not working. When i called in to speak with them the representative advised he would give me 2 months free additional to the 1 month free they gave me for signing up. Where he transferred the call to have them set the credit for me he said the rep i spoke to previously only said he would give me one month additional. "BE AWARE "they a re quick to transfer your call to another department without confirming what they can or will do for you. very poor customer service.

Internet service works great. Using 50/10 service. TV service has always been poor , but since Dec 31 its been unusable with excessive buffering for minutes at a time.

The Internet service is horrible. You'll be lucky to get 50% of the speed you pay for in peak hours. And they won't do anything to fix it properly. Do not be fooled by the low price.

We've recently completed upgrades and service should be as expected, without any significant performance degradation, even during peak hours. Recently the CRTC lowered wholesale capacity rates for third party providers, making it easier for us to add additional capacity as required moving forward. Continuously down switching services I have had enough. Well here we are again, October 6th. Service not available. And of course I will be at work when you are open for business. Now I am looking around for a better service provider. This is continuous lately. Very Very poor customer service hours. This is a communications service you do realize that!!!!!!!! We should be able to communicate with you before 10 am.

Hi Lorraine, Very sorry for the trouble experienced on September 23, 2016. Unfortunately we experienced a hardware failure at a interconnect facility, which left some of our customers without access to services from approximately 5am until 10am. When we became aware of this, our engineers worked tirelessly to bring service back online as quickly as possible, and we have taken steps to ensure this does not happen in the future. I just rate them this badly based on the guy answering the ratings. As someone who has been on the internet since 1988 and worked for a few but no longer work for a provider - you get what you pay for... Cut rates means cut in service levels.. They lost a switch and could not fail over shows you they do not have spare switches to drop in place or the proper monitoring staff, backups and such.

Hi, Very sorry if you feel that our responses here are not appropriate, we certainly try our best to provide context and follow up with our customers when problems are experienced and unresolved. With regard to the switch failure earlier this year, we do have backup hardware but unfortunately this failure occurred at an interconnect facility and it did take a small amount of time to dispatch a technician in order to complete this task. As a result, there was a small amount of downtime experienced for our customers. When problems do arise, we do everything possible to correct as quickly as possible, and despite all steps taken, not all issues can be foreseen and steps taken proactively. When there is downtime or a temporary service outage, it is our policy to credit and provide compensation to all customers who contact our Customer Care Team and report a problem with service.

Had the Internet from Vmedia for a few months now. So far so good, it was down once for about an hour and that's it. Pricing is incredibly cheap and it's unlimited. Only downside was that the router they supplied with the 120mbit plan wasn't a gigabit router which means we only ever got 90mbits. We are going to buy a new router soon.

So I've been a customer of Vmedia for IPTV and FTTN DSL for the past 2 years. First, I'll say that this company isn't perfect. Like other reviews, the first year having TV service was okay but kept skipping and had to often power cycle the Android box. Internet itself also had problems first year with cable. Second year is much better. After some fiddling around with a repeater and upgrading the TV box I can say television service is miles better than what it was. Rare occasion I may have to power cycle but overall great. Also, there are some unique features on the box that aren't offered with the big guys. Cloud TV and PVR that can use any external hard drive. Built in Android apps make it pretty cool. I find cost savings quite dramatic versus the bigger guys and it continues to be a reason why I stay. Customer service has been excellent. Often I find reps helpful and reasonable in finding solutions. Give them a chance. They're much better than bigger guys and you won't feel ripped off month over month.
