Borneo From Below proudly presents our very first episode: “Landing in Borneo”!

In this episode, Scubazoo's roving reporter Bertie will introduce you to some of Borneo's world-class dive spots. And we’ll see what one operator is doing to protect them.

Viewers will also get a glimpse of upcoming weekly episodes: sea gypsies catching mantis shrimp, photographing one of the most venomous animals in the ocean, diving the one and only Sipadan Island, discovering a TWO-HEADED nudibranch, and more.

Sit back, relax and let us know in the comments below what you think of it!

Crazy big mouth whale shark smiles to camera!

Whale sharks are the gentle giants of the ocean. They are the largest shark of all and the largest fish on the earth, some larger than a bus or two elephants placed end to end.

They don’t use their teeth for biting because they simply filter their food. They eat nothing but tons of plankton and small fish!

Here is a short educational video made by +Scubazoo  for Ocean Park Hong Kong to bring attention to the shark finning trade in Southeast Asia.

Up to 100 million sharks are killed every year for shark fin soup: an unsustainable and barbaric trade that is pushing many species of sharks to the brink of extinction.
