Beachcombing at Asilomar (Pacific Grove, CA), we saw the strangest, most beautiful thing. Could this object have come to earth during the recent Perseid meteor shower?

This beach is hidden in plain sight, right next to the highway - but does take some bouldering to get to (Hidden Beach, Lake Tahoe, NV)

Doing 300 km/h (185 mph) in a Japanese Shinkansen bullet train. I wish we had high-speed rail in the U.S.!

I am so proud of my daughter Jule Muegge who graduated from the Honors Program at St. Catherine University with a double major in Public Health and Biology. And she is more than ready to enter the workforce! Now it's two down, one more to go.

Live and breathe translation tools and processes, am in it for the long run (literally)
Introduction
I have re-invented myself many times over the course of my professional career: Truck Driver, Life Guard, Photographer, English Teacher, Creative Writer, Advertising Consultant, Translator, College Professor, Salesperson, Program Manager, Consultant to Fortune 500 organizations. What's next? Anything is possible!
Bragging rights
Crossed the Alps on foot (GR 5 route from Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean) in 26 days. Ran my fastest marathon in 3:32h. Have mastered the art of circular breathing (inhaling and exhaling at the same time). Biggest accomplishment: Raising three daughters (at times single-handedly!), and even so they have turned out alright.
