We are a welcoming congregation!

Two Sunday Services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. (September - May), summer service at 10 a.m. (June - August). Stay for a cup of coffee and conversation afterward!

Worship is central to the life of this community. Worship reminds us of who we are, what we can become, how we want to live, what we hope to give to the community and the world. Our liberal and progressive religious community's programs and events support people's life-long growth and learning, encourage each person's unique contributions to the world, and create and celebrate human community. We welcome young and old, families and singles, all the colors and cultures of the human race, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight people.

We joyously support spiritual development guided by individual faith, reason, and conscience. We are committed to serving one another, our church, and the local and global communities. We foster a spirit of generosity and trust that encourages care for our church home, and affirms diversity and relationships consistent with Unitarian Universalist principles.

We believe each person has a share of the truth and we need one another to grow whole. Our differing gifts and strengths join together to make a vibrant, loving community. Together we reverence living and dying, mark joy and pain and promise. We hope you will visit the Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley. May you find the community of your longing with us.

The mission of our congregation is to create loving community, inspire spiritual growth, and encourage lives of integrity, joy, and service.

We got married here. The space is beautiful and earthy. The view from the outdoor terrace showcases the bay.
