Early spring is a great time to hunt down those invasive hibernating pests and reduce the numbers to ensure better results. Look at the crown of plants under loose debris to find these pests.

The National Garden Bureau has just determined that 2018 is the year of the Tulip. I am to assume they determined this because nothing sings spring like a Tulip especially after the winter New Englander's have had. We at Urbanyardology enjoy incorporating bulbs to a property especially in urban settings where wildlife is less of a factor. Deer and those cute bunny rabbits can and will destroy bulbs very quickly leaving a rewardless outcome. For those who have prepared wisely last fall...your visual bounty is just weeks away.

I actually had a woman reach out to me today wanting to add bamboo to a property. It didn't take long for me to convince her otherwise due to its invasive patterns. Invades quickly and is almost impossible to get rid of without spending a fortune.
