Australia. It's vast, it's diverse, and it's filled with so many bucket list experiences that it's hard to know where to start. That's where our latest experiential guide comes in to help you get started.

Drawn from our recent National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures tour in Australia, we share the highlights from Down Under and show how much you can really experience in just a short time like two weeks.

Enjoy! http://uncorneredmarket.com/australia-two-weeks-experiential-guide/

Moving beyond the traditional one-dimensional process of storytelling to what we believe really taps into deeper connections and breaks down even more stereotypes: two-way storytelling.

Here are five reasons why two-way storytelling in travel really matters: http://uncorneredmarket.com/two-way-storytelling-travel/

Uluru at sunset. A sacred place for the Anangu, an Aboriginal people who have lived from and taken care of this land for an estimated 30,000 years. From afar, Uluru appears just a flat rock outcropping; up close, you see something different, details. Pair that with ancient creation stories, and you get a sense of texture very different from what most of us are accustomed. These stories are part of the "tjukurpa," the traditional Aboriginal law that teaches how one should relate to the environment and to other people.

The oral histories also serve as a sort of survival manual for finding water, hunting animals, avoiding poisonous plants, etc. While Uluru is beautiful in it's own right, it's the backstory of the Anangu people's relationship to it that makes visiting here a remarkable -- if not transformative -- experience.

One of my favorite posts of the year: the best 15 Instagram photos of 2015!!  As I scrolled through these photos I was humbled and amazed by we've seen and experienced these last twelve months -- from the Albanian Alps to reaching the Lost City in Colombia to the "sassi" of Matera to Caribbean beaches with surreal shades of blue. It makes one aprreciate the diversity and beauty of our big -- yet small -- world.

Before further ado, here are the top 15 photos of 2015!  http://uncorneredmarket.com/best-travel-instagram-photos-2015/

Shoal Bay Beach, Anguilla. What you see is what you get, #nofilter needed. Lives up to the hype of #1 best beach in the Caribbean, #5 in the world. Gorgeous, clean, insanely blue, relaxing, hardly any people. An easy day trip from St. Martin. This is serenity with a side of paddle boards..

In honor of International Women's Day and the opening of our photography exhibition with +G Adventures and +Lonely Planet, Planet Her, we take a look at why, during the course of our journey, we became interested in women’s issues and involved in projects that aim to invest in them.

Here is why we believe that investment in women is so important, not only as it is a direct investment in the welfare of future generations, but also for our need for more innovative and sustainable solutions to our world's challenges: http://uncorneredmarket.com/investing-in-women-travelers-perspective/

We recently explored the island of St. Maarten as part of the #ChoiceCaribbean campaign with +Choice Hotels. After spending 10 days on the island we uncovered a diversity of experiences that speak to both adventure and relaxation.

Here's what we found in the form of an Experiential Guide to St. Maartin/St. Martin: http://uncorneredmarket.com/st-maarten-experiential-travel-guide/

As much as we love a good destination "hot list," we're doing our 2016 list with a bit of a twist. Instead of focusing on “the where” we're looking more at “the how.”

And underlying everything is #10.

Here's why we think 2016 is the Year of "The How": http://uncorneredmarket.com/travel-trends-year-of-the-how/

Morning hike -- Guana Bay, St. Maarten. Let's say this area happens to be one of the island's "unexpected pockets of rugged beauty."

Pelican-spotting as we set off on a sunset float on the south end of St. Martin. Shades of blue seem infinite. Because we are so close to the equator, Caribbean sunsets -- and all the color that go with them -- come and go quickly, underscoring the idea of enjoying what you have while you have it.   #ChoiceCaribbean

Travel wide, live deep. Connecting the world through people, food and adventure
Introduction
Whether you intend to travel the world yourself, or you'd like someone to travel with vicariously, Uncornered Market is the place, Dan and Audrey are the people. They guarantee to inspire, to make you laugh, to make you cry, and to help us all realize that the world is small and big and beautiful -- and that we are all human.

In December 2006, we quit our jobs to follow our dreams. We sold everything and hit the road with backpacks and a serious case of curiosity.

We travel deeply and offbeat -- to places like Tajikistan, Paraguay, and Estonia -- with a focus on meeting people from all walks of life. And we rarely turn down an opportunity to eat amazing street food, trek through mountains, run down volcanoes, rappel over waterfalls…and get lost along the way.

Together, we have visited more than 75 countries. We're still going…and still married.

Come join us!
