"Chris experienced several defining moments that he classified as “team turning points.” One such turning point occurred during an American mock race when the team had to cancel its last day of the race due to a mechanical issue. He recalled that up until that point, things had gone very successfully, and it was almost a blessing to have a little bit of reality brought upon them."

After almost four months, 25,000+ miles of travel, and too many adventures to count, Quantum has returned to Ann Arbor. A delegation of team members gathered at the dropoff site on Thursday afternoon, and waited through winter winds and a slight drizzle for the truck to arrive. Introduction

The University of Michigan Solar Car Team is the largest student project team on campus, involving over one hundred members from all over the University. Twenty years after its founding, the team has built ten custom solar-electric vehicles and won seven National Championships, establishing itself as America’s #1 team.
