I have had some great massage work done all over the world and honestly I can tell you, Zhanna is the gold standard for me. She's a terrific masseuse, yes. And she's a healer too who has a deep innate sense of what is needed for her client. She's really well trained in massage therapy and is able to put that into practice easily because she loves her work. She's truly great at what she does.

I love getting a good massage and have had many, many of them over the years. Zhanna is one of the best massage therapists I have ever been to. First of all, she's extremely professional, and a sweet, kind person, but also extremely skilled and knowledgeable about the body and massage techniques. As she works through each area of the body, she has a sixth sense about how much pressure to use or not, and also in finding the spots that really need help. Zhanna is also very knowledgeable and conversant in other areas of alternative and holistic healthcare, which is helpful if you need suggestions on dealing with a particular illness or condition. I drive a considerable distance (an hour+ one-way) to get a massage with Zhanna, and she's worth every minute.

I'm a researcher at Princeton University and sitting on a desk pretty much 10 hours a day, 7 days a week. The past 6-7 years, I did a lot of sports (triathlon) and engaged myself in studying how our body works, read books, experimented etc. I was trained, treated medically and spoke to a lot of professional athletes and physical therapists – so I think I can more or less identify physical problems, interpret signals from my body such as specific pain and differentiate between people who know that they are doing. After a roughly 1.5 years sports break to concentrate on my work, I recently restarted working out at the gym, eventually lifting heavy weights again 3-4 times a week. Since 2 months, I got a lot of headaches, also affecting my ability to work and concentrate, and could clearly point these back to tight muscles in my neck. I thought of having a deep tissue massage because I know how much this helps from previous therapies, but was always too lazy to look for a good place in town (pain killers are so convenient). The last days, I had headache pretty much every day, with the worst experience waking up at 5am thinking my head is exploding, so I had to react. I found Zhanna’s place on google maps and good reviews on google and yelp. So I made an appointment for the next day, only 30 minutes for the first time to try out. What should I say: I left the place thinking that I don’t remember when I felt so good and energized the last time (I know how esoteric that sounds). Zhanna took a lot of care, analyzed my problems, tried to identify the actual cause such as bad habits by asking background questions and performed a massage that earns the name “deep tissue”. Absolutely amazing! (I’m German, we use such words with care) Also, she gave me tips to work on my problems on my own and showed me specific, very easy to perform stretching exercises. The place itself is very cozy and relaxing. She is a really friendly person, professional, knows what she is doing and explains everything. I can clearly recommend this place without limitation to everyone! Since these problems (especially if you do not react immediately) don’t go away completely after one session, I do book the next session within the next days! If you have an appointment over lunch time and want to do something good to your body on top: I can recommend going to the fish market next door to get a delicious grilled salmon sandwich afterwards ;-)
