UMA Staff Seasonal Recipe - Kugel Pudding

“Kugel is a traditional Jewish dish served as a side on special occasions, such as the Shabbat, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. While its origins are rather traditional, this tasty side dish is a great accompaniment to any holiday party as a substitute for potato dishes or as a sweet addition to liven up a meal.”

UMA Seasonal Recipes - Rachel M.'s Turducken

“My family has a tradition of trying a new recipe every Thanksgiving. We put the names of different countries in a hat and then we pick one. We then find the dishes from that country and put them in a hat. We take turns picking the dishes every year and the person who is responsible to pick has to figure out how to make the dish. We have tried some very interesting dishes in the past and one year I happened to get USA and turducken as the dish. My kids loved it so much that it became a tradition!” - Rachel M., Registration & Certification Services

UMA Staff Seasonal Recipe - Merry Molasses Cookies

“I enjoy making this recipe because the cookies make great gifts and I can bake a bunch of them at one time to bring to different holiday parties. They stay soft and moist for well over a week without getting stale! People always ask me for the recipe and what my secret is. The most important parts of this recipe is the room temperature butter, parchment paper and bread flour.”

UMA Staff Seasonal Recipe - Grandma's Cranberry Relish
“I watched my grandmother make cranberry relish every year, and learned to make the dish with her. She would let me pour and stir the cranberries and sugar, and she would section the oranges! As a little kid, I remember enjoying that it added a pop of color to the plate and as I’ve gotten older, I appreciate the spot of citrus brightness and that something with just three simple ingredients can taste so good. Now, I make it with my kids.”
