If you haven't already, now's the time to get started developing for Ubuntu, go here to get started: http://developer.ubuntu.com/apps/

Are you an Ubuntu Pioneer? These special, limited edition t-shirts to the first 200 developers who publish apps in our new Click app store.

http://developer.ubuntu.com/pioneers/

There's still time to get one, but not much, so head on over to our developer portal (http://developer.ubuntu.com/apps/) to learn how to get started.  You could have your first app in the store tomorrow and claim your place (and shirt) among the Ubuntu Pioneers!

Thanks +Ubuntu for my Ubuntu Pioneer T-shirt ;)

We've reached a major milestone this week, just months before the first phones start to ship with Ubuntu and we're already had more than 10,000 users who have tried out the beta versions on their own devices!

+Bobby Westfall If all else fails, the command line always works for me.
NOTE: This will erase all data on /dev/sdX
sudo dd if=/path/to/image.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=4M

Of course you have to change the path to where your image is and sdX has to be substituted with the correct drive (no partition number). You can find the right drive by inspecting the output of the command lsblk (lists bulk devices) and looking for the one with the correct size. Double check if it's the right drive as you don't want to overwrite your root partition! Also, if your USB drive is mounted, unmount it before using this method. You should be able to do that from within your file manager (there's an eject symbol or something).

The Ubuntu Online Summit is coming to a close, the last session of the day is the closing plenary and track summaries, where you can get the highlights from each track, and learn what you missed so you can go back and re-watch those videos.

Thank you to everybody who participated in UOS 14.06, and even more to everybody who helped organize and run sessions.  Our community rocks!

+Lum Dërmaku full reply here would be a bit too long. If you are really interested, send me a private message I will be more than happy to explain. And yes you can run some windows games through wine/playonlinux/crossover. But steam has a lot of native linux games, that is usually a better choice. If you have a lot of windows games and you think wine is not good enough, you can still dual boot to windows to play those.
