My fiance and I have been to many restaurants in Naples - mainly those on 5th avenue - and thought we would try something different tonight for dinner in a low-key way to celebrate the holiday weekend. We love how Naples restaurants are becoming known for their high level of service and gourmet fare. Many celebrated chefs have a presence here and it is a wonderful sign of how cuisine in Naples has truly transformed over the years. So, we went to USS Nemo which is off Tamiami and in a small strip mall on the West side of the road. Admittedly, they have an nice menu. Many seafood dishes and appetizers, along with an impressive sake menu for a restaurant in Naples. I had ordered their flagship menu item, which was to include a filet mignon, scallops, and lobster. Upon receiving the entree dish, I was surprised to see that only ONE scallop and the smallest portion of lobster I have ever been served. While the dish tasted fine, it was misrepresented and falsely advertised on the menu. I had asked our server to confirm what all was to come with their most expensive menu item. She did say the menu listed things incorrectly and ended with a disheartened offer to have a coconut bar to go - a nice gesture nonetheless, but certainly not commensurate with circa $40 entree. At the very least, she should have offered to discount a drink or bring in a manager to arbitrate in a manner that could leave us satisfied with our first (and now last) experience at the restaurant. Our high expectations and great mood was soured very quickly by the lack of sincere effort to remedy dissatisfaction - stemmed in this case from an egregious error on the menu for their most expensive offering. This was possibly the first time I have ever left a Naples restaurant unhappy. Suffice to say that just about every other restaurant in Naples has wonderful staff and management that will step-in during such situations when the restaurant is in err to end the engagement on a positive note. While your experience may not involve a customer service mishap, should you find the restaurant at fault or at misrepresentation - you will certainly leave dissatisfied.

Dear Serving703, we are sorry that you were dissatisfied with your visit at our restaurant. You are right, it could be assumed that there were 2 scallops or more in this dish. For $36.95 you are getting a 5 once filet mignon, 1 large U-8 scallop (or 2 small scallops like we were doing before), and a poached lobster claw. This come with our mashed potato, the sauces and asparagus tempura. We think it is a great price for that dish. This being said I will change the description on the menu or offer 2 smaller scallops now on. I will also tell my employee to be more vigilant when this type of situation happens. Also, it was not a coconut bar but a homemade coconut cream pie that was offered for the mistake on the menu. I thank you for bringing that to my attention, and will learn from that. My fiance and I were visiting Naples on a family vacation and planned on having one nice dinner date. We chose USS Nemo after reading the reviews and made a reservation for 6:00 p.m. on a Thursday evening. We dressed very nicely for the occasion but we were worried we may get poor service due to our age (mid 20's) and the fact that we have facial piercings. Needless to say we got great service! We were sat at a side by side table. If anything, this would be my only complaint. The restaurant is very tightly packed, so in order to get out to use the bathroom, we had to slide our table over or else I would've been knocking drinks off the neighbors table. Nevertheless the neighbors conversation never bothered us. We ordered the Pork Belly for an appetizer and it was phenomenal. My fiance had the lamb and I had the Miso Broiled Sea Bass. Everything about both of our plates was amazing. The Miso Sea Bass was the best fish I have ever had and the sauce is to die for. Overall it was a great experience. Being young tourists with piercings and us not being lawyers or millionaires didn't stop us from being treated with as much respect as the older, richer guests. I wish more higher-end restaurants would follow suit. We highly recommend this restaurant!

my husband and I choose this restaurant from the reviews that I found online. We were not disappointed. I had the Sea Bass which was the best I have ever ate and he had their grouper grill which he also loved. Excellent food and service. Don't be put off by it being in a strip plaza inside is lovely and again great food

The food here is outstanding, and this review is more for the eyes of the owner of the restaurant. I came in last night around 6:45 for dinner. I have been here before and loved it, and when my dad drove over from Ft. Lauderdale, without notice, I figured we would stop by to see if we could get in. Although we did not have a reservation, I have eaten there a few times without one and just had to wait 20 mins or so. When I arrived the hostess was so rude, she made me wait for 10 minutes before she told me she would not sit us inside no matter how long we waited. She said without a reservation we (a party of three) could not sit inside, not even at the bar. I understand this restaurant is busy, and a reservation would have definitely been appropriate, but her attitude and the way she spoke to me simply was not. Soon after I arrived, someone she recognized came in, and she sat him inside WITHOUT a reservation, even though they arrived after us. After this, I went and looked on my phone and saw that they had reservations available for 7:00 p.m. and could not believe she refused to seat me, even though I was able to book a reservation online. I have just moved to Naples in June and am a young lawyer in the area. I have never had anyone ever speak to me the way she did, and truly hope that you encourage your staff to treat others with respect. I do understand when a restaurant that is very busy, such as your own, that a reservation would be best, but there is no excuse for the way your employee(s) treated us. After this whole incident, she told me she would get the manager to explain to me why we could not sit inside, and I told her simply not to bother. We ended up sitting outside, on very wet chairs and the whole time watched the manager (bald white man with thick black glasses) approach every table but our own multiple times (refreshing water, asking how everyone was doing, etc). Even when our water was low, and he had a pitcher in hand, he refused to talk to us at all. I do commend you on your food, and did, as always, enjoy my dinner. I just wanted to let you know that your employee(s) were extremely rude and disrespectful to customers that could potentially bring your restaurant a lot of money. I did not ask the name of the hostess, but she had slicked back hair in a bun type style last night on August 31, 2014.

The sea bass dish was exquisite (I normally don't use that word, but I was looking for a perfect word to describe what was one of the most delicious sea food dishes I ever had). Both my wife and I loved the food. Our three kids liked their food too. My daughter took poutine - yes the Quebec's popular plate, and she said it was great. We're from Montreal, and there is nothing in our city (I mean sea food) that comes close to this. This is simply a "must" place to eat while in Naples. We will return.

Came in based on reviews only. Honestly the best meal I've had in a while and I travel all the time to great cities with great food (in the past 3 weeks I've been to San Francisco, NYC, and Vegas). I had the Tuna, pan seared, Indian style... ....phenomenal!
