The U.S. Embassy informs U.S. citizens that the Philippine government has declared Thursday, September 21, 2017, as a National Day of Protest. Demonstrations are expected to take place throughout the country. A protest is planned at approximately 2:00 p.m. at Rizal Park, which is 300 meters from the U.S. Embassy in Manila. U.S. citizens should avoid areas of demonstrations and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
