The African country had the second highest under-five mortality rate in southern and eastern Africa in 1990. But since then, there have been substantial and steady improvements. You can see the full version here: via +UNICEF

Great to see a 50% drop or more in the under five child mortality rate in Malawi, between 1990 and 2010.  Hopefully this mortality rate will continue to drop.
