If you'd like to join the +UK Photography Community you will find this information useful : )

Our two communities are

UKPC GENRE SPECIFIC IMAGES ONLY

Are you thinking of joining us?
We review the +Google+ profile of EVERY potential new member who applies to join the +UK Photography Community.

We use +CircleCount Hover Cards to do this. These hover cards*** make quick work of determining whether a person might be eligible to join. We also visit the applicants G+ Post stream.

WILL WE LET YOU IN?
We love to have new members join our two UK Photography Communities but we do have a few rules, mainly to keep the spammers out. We do require people to apply to be members, we will vet your application and approve or reject as soon as we can. You don't have to be a great photographer, we are happy to welcome anyone with an interest, from beginner to expert.

We are focussed on the United Kingdom, Crown Dependencies and Ireland so only accept either residents or ex-pats - no offence to the rest of the world :-) So please ensure that your profile indicates where you are from, we will place you in one of our regional circles, based on that. We also require that people follow our Page if they want to join the Community. Again this helps keep the spammers out as they rarely take the trouble to read instructions.

So that's it:
1) Show where you are from on your profile
2) Circle our Page
3) Apply to join the Community
4) Wait for approval

WILL YOU RESHARE MY IMAGE?
If you do not post 'publicly' to your personal profile and you just post to a UKPC community category then it remains within the Community Stream and cannot be re-shared publicly.  If however, you put up a public post and re-share it to a UKPC Community region (e.g. London) then UKPC can re-share that post. Yes, if we think our followers will enjoy your image we will share your photography on our page.

USEFUL TIPS

HOW TO POST TO COMMUNITY CATEGORIES
If you are not sure how to post an image to the correct category PLEASE ask us or take a look at this series of screenshots.

COMMUNITY POSTS CAN "CLUTTER" YOUR MAIN PROFILE making the same image you posted to multiple communities appear in your profile stream. See this useful tip to prevent that from happening to you! https://plus.google.com/b/101116887585805976409/+UKPhotographyCommunityOFFICIAL/posts/JJf25de7KGr

Water Is Taught By Thirst

Water, is taught by thirst.
Land -- by the Oceans passed.
Transport -- by throe --
Peace -- by its battles told -
Love, by Memorial Mold -
Birds, by the Snow.

Hello everyone, please note - The name change In our GENRE SPECIFIC COMMUNITY for the category formerly known as Seascapes / Lakes. This will now show in your dropdown list choices and be known simply as Water, a broader description and a cross over to our Genre community (no need to post to both communities, thanks).

Please feel free to post to this category if your image consists of mainly water, whether it be Sea, Lake, River, Canal ...waterfalls... you get the idea. :)

This helps to accommodate our collection (attached) when resharing your lovely images.

Cheers +Heidi Anne Morris

Sadly many Public Houses in the UK have already closed and many more face closure. Well run pubs play a pivotal role in local communities, but are increasingly under threat from closure with 21 pubs shutting every week. - quote - http://www.camra.org.uk/pubs

If you'd like to find out more check out Saving Your Local Pub

The Crown
Driving through the village of South Moreton the other day I noticed some signs proclaiming Save our Pub. The pub in question was the Crown which had cosed a while ago and was for sale. The villagers had gotten a petition together to try and save the pub fo...
