Some thoughts on my next steps professionally: http://tysonlivingston.com/blog/2015/5/29/design-crash-course.
A big part of this blog will focus on my experiences in the design profession. I am the Assistant Director of Creative Services for the Washington State University Carson College of Business. In this role I supervise a group of designers across various disciplines and provide oversight for a number of other creative and A/V projects for the college. Of course, the catch is, I’m not really a designer. My educational background is in m...

My good friend's father is a great artist and an all around great guy. I worked in his shop for about 6 months after my mission making lithography crayons and other things. Check out his work!

My dad is a brilliant artist and printmaker. He just got a site up and running with some galleries of his artwork.

This is pretty awesome!
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — Scientists have uncovered a vast ocean beneath the icy surface of Saturn's little moon Enceladus.

Had a lot of fun playing at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival. We were invited to play on the Young Artists Concert. The Audio is a little funky, especially in the shout. You can't really hear the trumpets and one of the bones came through hot on one of the mics. But it gives the general idea. Love playing lead trumpet in this band!

We got a call back to perform at this concert and only had about 30 minutes to get everybody there. Unfortunately, the bari sax player didn't make it.

What do you think of the "Bookless Future?"
Bexar County's BibiloTech is the nation's first bookless public library, where hundreds of tablets stand ready for checkout to anyone with a borrowing card.

True. I need a way to put my finger in several places and flip back and forth. My rpg books are a perfect example of that. I need to reference many places and refer back and forth. I don't use digital copies for that stuff at all.

Microsoft needs more marketing like this.
Former NFL player Steve Gleason never played in the Super Bowl, but he'll be making an appearance on Sunday's broadcast, as part of Microsoft's first-ever national Super Bowl ad. (Yes, I was skeptical, too, but a Microsoft spokesman says the company has never before aired a national ad during the b

This is the reason why I don't enjoy interacting on Facebook, in order to have my posts pushed out to people who WANT to see my stuff, it seems like I need to post the most baseline things, like, say, me in a bikini. Or a kitten.

Dumbing down content to actually REACH my fans is ridiculous. If they're following me, they want to see my stuff. I don't have money to pay to reach all my fans for everything I post. And paying for views sucks in general, Facebook. So...yeah. Great video!
