This Saturday I'll be speaking to 5-8th graders about programming and technology. It's going to be really fun!

I'll also be demoing my +Google Glass, Android Wear watches, and Chromebooks.
Bringing together the web's youngest forward thinking innovators.

Yes please.  I'd love to come for Women Techmakers. Like I said, this is part of what I want to do!  Encourage girls who are in tech or want to be in tech! #womentechmakers

+Josh Wilson now even easier.

Google Intern has added support to run Crouton¹ in a Chrome OS Window. Thanks to a 4,471 lines patch², fearless people can now run their favorite Linux distributions on their Chrome Devices in a nice window without jumping between Virtual Terminals as before.

Here's how to get there:
- First, you need to make sure your Chrome Device is in Developer Mode³ (not Dev Channel).
- Install the Crouton Integration Chrome Extension⁴
- Download crouton⁵
- Open a shell with <Ctrl>+<Alt>+T, type shell and hit <Enter>
- Run sudo sh ~/Downloads/crouton t unity,extension
Enjoy!

Yep. This is the xiwi thing I was using at bamg. It's pretty useful. No hardware acceleration, but there's still the old easy if you need that. And you can switch pretty easily.

Here's another article on the +Daily Mail about my fathers company United Space Structures!

Things are getting exciting!
Washington, DC company United Space Structures says their giant rotating space station (shown) could replace the ISS. It would be 1,300ft long, cost $300 billion and take 30 years to build.

Anyone know what this is, I know it's a tree. However these buds are sticky and terrorizing my mom's dogs feet.

Those look vaguely like the buds that stuck to my truck a few years back. Stuck really hard -- ended up staining the paint.

A truly amazing series, I have enjoyed every episode! +Dan Gelbart has an amazing way of explaining the many concepts he has obviously used for many years. These videos are, too me, the best use of the internet, sharing knowledge with the masses about your passion.

+Dan Gelbart please produce more videos! I think there are many makers and builders that would really enjoy them.

You can't tell from that screenshot(come on Google pushing major UI changes deserves immediate screenshot updates, this is why you should hire me!) ...

Chrome Remote Desktop got a huge update today that gets rid of that annoying blue bar right in the middle and the other overlay that pops up if you even go near the top of the screen!

This really made my day because I usually use this daily to remote into my iMac from my Chromebook Pixel for various reasons.

Joy and her team are simply amazing!!! I had a small order(50) but a very tight timeline. Joy was able to accommodate me and get the order done right on time. She took my graphic, color matched it(her specialty), got it print ready, shirts ordered, and printed in 2.5 days! Just amazing! This is usually not how I order, and I don't encourage you to put Joy through the same thing I did, but the fact that she was able to get it done speaks volumes to the quality and passion of her work. The print came out great and those that received them were very happy! I highly recommend using Screen Printing Apparel for any screen printing needs you may have!

Imagine a world where primary colors dominate your eye space, where fun is around every corner, when greeted at the entrance your not just told to sign in by a worker bee, but rather cheerfully welcomed by smiling happy people. This is what it's like to visit the Google DC office! There are video games and a plentiful display of past and present Android phones, there are even some pretty smart and awesome people that work there too!

Awesome setting and decorations, but the atmosphere and targeted clientele leave something to be desired. I feel like they could play up the space theme more and drive a different experience.

Been going here since it was Jaxx back in the day! The atmosphere matches the lineups and they don't over charge for drinks. The Alchemy Room is pretty awesome to hangout in too! I've seen countless shows here and always had a good time.
