I hope he wouldn't have any questions about why we didn't make it, and ended up working in Labor Relations. I would fiddle around and look for excuses but... I'd hate to tell him that the bottom line is, I let life beat the dream out of us. I didn't stand up for us. I failed that little boy.
He may not be as disappointed as I think he would be... I mean, he might be glad we aint locked up, paralyzed, or dead. I hope he'd be proud of me... at least a little bit.
