Wow, what an incredible video! First off, I love seeing the shockwave travel down the mountain, and how it pushes the clouds away. Second, the sheer sound of that sonic boom even in this replicated video, is astonishing. Lastly, I like the massive chunks of earth seen seemingly floating through the air like it's no big deal. Those are probably some seriously-sized boulders.

This is great content IMO, nothing about stat comparisons or "leading competitors", just a great feel-good ad. I could watch these types of ads all day. #seo

Out at Lake Hosmer this weekend... bushwhacked over to some small waterfalls, nice several mile hike. Went canoeing this morning, some great silence out on the water.

It was Freshman year of High School when my Dad finally caved in to getting a cable modem over a 56k modem with AOL. I remember riding home on the bus after school, with one thought on my mind: I can finally play Counter-Strike! I got off the bus and ran as fast as I could home, my backpack bouncing the whole way. I remember throwing open the front door, running into my room, and hitting "Resume" on my Download Resumer program, to which I had painstakingly been downloading the installer for Counter-strike for WEEKS on AOL's "56k" modem. Not ten minutes later, I was playing and hooked on highspeed internet for life. Only people that have experienced connecting to the Internet at 56k will understand the satisfaction that an upgrade to a Cable Modem will bring. Since that day, I have been a devoted customer to (then) Bendcable, and (now) BendBroadBand. The speeds have been amazing, the service great, and the prices reasonable. When I went to OSU, I had Comcast. Yeah, I know. It's everything you've heard and worse. The connection would drop frequently, the saturation was so congested that the only really usable times were at midnight, and everyone has heard the recordings of how hard it is to cancel Comcast. It's no wonder they were voted the worst company in America, TWICE. When I graduated and moved back to Bend, I ordered the highest tier Internet package that BendBroadBand offers (Platinum) and have not downgraded in the 5 years I've had it. I consistently experience 10.5 MB/s downloads at most times of the day (even 5-9pm). I do a lot of gaming as well as coding and server management, and pulling massive database dumps are a trivial task at those speeds. I can conclusively tell you that BendBroadBand really IS the Local Dog and the only reason I would ever upgrade is if Google Fiber came to town. Other than that, BendBroadBand will continue to get my business and support for the foreseeable future.

Hands-down my favorite lunch spot. Denver omelette with a side of crispy bacon, sourdough toast, and a Sweet As to wash it down. Add in a little Secret Aardvark sauce and you have yourself a satisfied customer, who is going to be too satiated to work effectively from 1 - 2pm.

After a long day in the office, it's great to be able to stop in at Port of Subs on my way home for dinner. The staff is friendly and sociable, and the food is always fresh. There are many deli options to choose from, so you don't get bored with the same combos over and over again.

Great pizza and fairly cheap slices($2.50~) but they have a very tiny space, so be prepared to grab-and-go.
