Cool mommy award, please! I made these perfect building blocks for my little one, using a single (power) tool.
Super tutorial on the blog :D
I have a recent addiction: the compound miter saw. Seriously. It was love at first use and ever since, I found all sorts of excuses to use it more. Excuse no 1: DIY wooden toy blocks for our daughter. Cubes, rectangles, pyramids and cylinders. (No bridges; this is an one-tool-DIY and bridges require two tools.) I made a battlement, though. Check out how to make your own wooden building blocks...

Do you happen to have any old & battered wooden window blinds? Ones that were the wrong size for your windows or were simply too battered and are about to hit the curbside? Keep them! We are about to upcycle them and turn them into one of the best looking serving trays, you have ever seen! When we bought our home, we "inherited" a couple wooden window blinds. They had the...

Showcasing +Old Sign Stencils by Funky Junk Interiors

Desiring to have a potting bench for YEARS, that plan finally transpired when an old crate crumbled, having seen better days. Gotta love a reason to create!

This post showcases in 3 parts, the before, how the bench was made, and then the final reveal. This link takes you to the pretty reveal post.

Happy gardening!

Super informative tutorial on installing a new construction window!
Installing a new window can be as simple as: remove old window, add new window in existing hole, make sure it's plumb and level, install new trim inside out (don't forget to add a drip cap), caulk, done. But, if you hadn't noticed it in our window blinds turned serving tray craft, we really like to make our tutorials exhausting exhaustive. Brace yourselves and let's get to it! This...

A quick tip for Monday :)
Quick tip for cleaning silicone caulk from tight and narrow spots. If you hate seeing sloppy silicone jobs, the fine grooves of a window (one of them juuuuuust where it meets the trim), can be a bit challenging - if you want to keep the grooves clean that is. Here is a super easy - and super frugal - way to keep even the narrowest grooves caulk-free: 2+Cute TIP (literally) Here is...

Replacing our home's windows was a top priority when we bought our house - almost 3 years ago (yes, we are still at it). We decided to install all new construction windows but, save some greens by installing them ourselves. Well, where does one start with installing new windows? By removing the old ones first. This is how to do it! This tutorial is for single or double sash windows that...

Love this wall

Interiors are my favorite thing about a house. I love looking at pretty and unique styled bedrooms, bathrooms, and living rooms. Which is your favorite?
I’ve always loved looking at interiors, since I was a little kid. I think it’s amazing what you can use to spruce up your space, maybe that’s why I love HGtv so much. With all the different colors, textures, and decor out there you can make your space completely your own. Hey, if you can’t a designer can create it for you! I think each room of a house is beautiful and unique but I …
