The application can access the document using the key, but also get one version or the list of all versions, this is one of the reasons why it is interesting to create a key (mykey_version), and use it also to delete documents and related versions. Based on the previous comment, ...

Big Data... Is Hadoop the good way to start?
In the past 2 years, I have met many developers, architects that are working on “big data” projects. This sounds amazing, but quite often the truth is not that amazing. TL;TR You believe that you have a big data project? Do not start with the installation o...
You believe that you have a big data project? Do not start with the installation of an Hadoop Cluster -- the "how"; Start to talk to business people to understand their problem -- the "why"; Understand the data you must process; Look at the volume -- very often it is not "that" big ...

Join us for a Hangout On Air!

The location for this event is online, and the URL will be posted just before the broadcast begins.

In this edition, we'll take questions as usual and show some tools for workload generation.

In this hangout, we will show off some of the tools Couchbase has for workload generation and system validation.  Couchbase's own +Sergey Avseyev will show pillowfight, which is included with libcouchbase, +Mark Nunberg will show a +Python load generator and +Michael Nitschinger will show off RoadRunner, a +Java workload generator.  These tools are great for seeing how a given Couchbase Server deployment performs and for examining if you're building your own workload generator.

General info:

We at Couchbase like to regularly invite developers, admins and others to bring your questions about developing with Couchbase Server to our team.  We'll have on hand the experts in many of the languages: Java, .NET, Ruby, PHP, etc.

When: Wednesday July 31 at 2:00PM PST, 5:00PM EST, 21:00 UTC/GMT
Where: Google+ Hangout On Air/YouTube
How: Post questions on G+, tune in for the broadcast to watch or watch the recording later.

Everyone can watch the broadcast from the hangout or the YouTube page, there's no limit to the number of attendees.  To interact with others on the hangout with voice/video, there is a limited capacity, but feel free to jump in when you have a question.

To be time efficient we prefer questions be asked in advance via a comment to this event on the Couchbase Google Plus page, but we open it up for others to join and ask questions during the broadcast.

The broadcast will be available to everyone and recorded for later availability.  This means is you'll be able to hear answers directly from a number of the Couchbase developers via a broadcast. As we get to your question, if you're on and we'd like to discuss it further, we'll invite you to jump in to the hangout. The broadcast will be posted to the CouchbaseVideos YouTube page (http://www.youtube.com/user/CouchbaseVideo) if you're not able to join us real-time.

Of course, check out our previous hangouts at the YouTube link above!

Thanks,
Matt
