In Japan, they are strongly allergic to balance of power. Because their ancestors have talked how terrible to have armies that had not smart brains and their disasters to lose war. They have not thought but thrown away to think to have option to be part of actors of balance of power. No country can get away from it but they have thought that they can be by regarding themselves as special country to be. It is exact same way that Sir Steve Jobs thought that he could cure cancer only by imagination.
They don’t care about dangerous minds of foreigners but do Japanese political elites the most because they have believed that 70 years ago Japanese elites of armies were the strongest actors to lose war. They can live in utopia and how lucky they are.
70 years history and only experience of being bombed by nuclear bombs can be utilised to make US wars less harm in the future. To make 70 years history longer is important but there are no room for utopians anymore.
I strongly hope that top media all over the world show those utopians made by US intervention 70 years ago.#TheEconomist #NYTimes #WSJ #WaPo #BBC #Times #NewYorker #FinancialTimes #FT
