Aziz şehitlerimizi yâd etmek için Genelkurmay Başkanlığı tarafından başlatılan “Türkiye Şehitlerini Anıyor” etkinliği kapsamında, 13 Temmuz 2016 tarihinde Harbiye Askerî Müzesi ve Kültür Sitesi Komutanlığında, Kore Savaşı şehitlerinden P. Başçavuş Ali SELÇUK ve Kıbrıs Barış Harekâtı şehitlerinden J. Er Veli ALTAN' ın aziz ruhu için tören düzenlenmiştir.

Genelkurmay Başkanı Orgeneral Hulusi AKAR; Kara, Deniz ve Hava Kuvvetleri Komutanları ve Jandarma Genel Komutanı ile birlikte, Diyarbakır’da bulunan 7’nci Kolordu Komutanlığı, Jandarma Bölge Komutanlığı ve 8’inci Ana Jet Üs Komutanlığı ile Marmaris’te bulunan Aksaz Deniz Üs Komutanlığında bilgi alma, inceleme, görüşme ve bayramlaşma faaliyetinde bulunmuştur.
