Simpler than a traditional souffle, but with all of the flavor! The contrast of the sweet, soft “souffle” with the sweetened berries and the crisp shortbread is irresistible. Use whatev…

When I dip, you dip, we dip
Creamy, rich, and delicious, this dip is fantastic with any vegetables, but radishes, cucumber, broccoli, and tomatoes are particularly delicious. The truffle sauce adds a deep, savory note to the …

Wondering what to bring to the office party?
A great option for a Holiday dessert, this tart is filling and rich, sweet with date spread and honey. Don’t skimp on the cinnamon and sugar; they add a brightness that enlivens the tart.

Which of his picks was your favorite?

Soon after graduating from high school at just 16 years old, Chef Thomas Raquel enrolled in culinary school and quickly gained recognition for his pastry expertise. Today, he's the pastry chef at Le Bernadin, a 2016 three-star Michelin restaurant in New York City and the curator of the Holiday Box: Michelin Edition.

I love these boxes. They seem to be curated so carefully and contain items I would never otherwise know about. I often give them as gifts to family and friends - everything is packaged beautifully and a gorgeous card that explains each item is included. So far I've received the holiday box, Paris, and Spain. I had a small issue and contacted their customer service and that was what impressed me the most with this company. It was on a SATURDAY and they responded that same day, fixing my issue. I was beyond ecstatic. I highly recommend this subscription service!

Love my holiday box, which contained an item from many different countries, instead of being focused on one location. It's obvious how much thought goes into picking each item - you don't need to be a worldly traveler or a foodie to appreciate this box (though your traveler/foodie friends will love it too)! I really enjoyed the spread of different types of items. Highly recommend this box for yourself or as an awesome gift!

This box is more than just food. It's a cultural and epicurean experience. Be ready for hours of fun! Even though we live in New York City where you can find "any" food from around the world, these boxes truly surprise us with authentic gourmet flavors (and we travel a lot). Every single product that we have tried has been excellent. For most savory recipes you have to buy some ingredients, e.g., meat, vegetables, etc, and cook of course, but we actually love it! The box brings that special salt, peculiar species, or unique sauce, which is the key element that transports you to its origins. There are also sweet items in the box that you can enjoy right away for snack time. You have to truly appreciate sublime flavors and recognize authentic gourmet products to value this exclusive box. We always enjoy reading the culture guide, preparing all the recipes, learning about each product, hearing the music playlist while cooking, watching at night the movies they recommend, and seat at the table for our tea time and dinner. We like to immerse ourselves into each culture. 5 stars!

It's hard finding a gift to someone who already has everything, but I purchased a gift subscription of Try the World for a family member and it was a hit! The Thai box arrived in 10 days from the day I placed my order, well within the 2 week shipping window the website provides for first boxes. They even sent an email with tracking info so I could see where the package was and when it would arrive, great information to have for a gift. I'm told the food was tasty and came in good portions. They loved the guide explaining the food and suggested recipes and are already looking forward to receiving the next box! I had a few questions and customer service was quick to answer and very courteous. Overall it's been a great experience that I am sure to repeat (probably for myself).

This company and their service is fantastic! I've so far received the Paris, Marrakesh, Spain, Japan, Argentina, and Holiday boxes. It really is fun to try all of the different foods I would not otherwise know about or think to purchase. A few have become new staples in our home. The booklets that come with boxes are very informative and there's always a recipe guide to use alongside your new foods. My intention in ordering this subscription box was to share different food and culture with my children, and it has been nothing short of a hit. It's always exciting when each new box arrives! I would also like to add that their customer service is fantastic. The most recent box came with a broken item, a sauce, which flooded the rest of the box. I contacted customer service and within minutes they had me set up to receive a replacement for the whole box...I declined and asked for just a replacement of the sauce, as everything else in the box could just be rinsed off. No need to have them replace everything, though I was very grateful for the offer. This was yesterday, my replacement is already in the mail today. Thank you so much!

I am extremely pleased with my Japan box! First thing, the packaging is beautiful. It is so nicely designed-- inside and out. Secondly, I absolutely love that it comes with the information pamphlet... it describes what each item is and then it goes in to detail about how to use it! It even informs you of traditions from that culture so you can make a nice dinner for two or throw a fun little party! Lastly, I had a really great experience with one of the staff members. Samantha was so helpful and informative!

I decided to Try The World for the recent France and Spain boxes - both very well designed and thought out. Boxes should delight and surprise, and I think Try The World accomplishes that goal, from the look and feel of the boxes themselves to the recipes and games that are included within the packet. I think they make wonderful gifts. I think they can improve on their product by perhaps adding more non-food items. It's difficult to ship anything non-perishable, and that limits the type of food they can put in the box. I would like to see other cultural items such as novels or postcards to provide more of a rounded experience.
