I taught my daughter, Rachel, how to ride a motorcycle. Within 20 minutes she was self-reliant--able to stop, turn it off, put it in neutral, start it (electric), put it in 1st gear, and go. An hour later she was following me on easy trails in the woods! I am so proud of her!

THANKS for this excellent guide. I used it to solve an issue requiring me to move a Windows Server 2012 directory from one drive to another with more space where the directory needs to be accessible by my web app.

I am re-reading Essentialism by Greg McKeown. I almost never re-read a book. Just about every page of this book contains gold. Today's nugget:

There are 3 deeply entrenched assumptions we must conquer:

    1. "I have to"
    2. "It's all important"
    3. "I can do both"

We must replace these false assumptions with 3 core truths:

    1. "I choose to"
    2. "Only a few things really matter"
    3. "I can do anything but not everything

Intended for my local Kansas City audience...I NEED A DOCTOR. I need a medical professional who wants to be MY doctor--who will take MY health serious. This means a doctor who will take the time to really listen, teach, examine, review, and actually get to know me and my health issues. I expect this to cost more--we all throw a hell of a lot of money at healthcare! If I'm going to spend $10K + a  year on healthcare, it would be nice to actually receive some ROI. It would be nice to have a doctor who takes the time to get to know me enough to understand that by the time I make an appointment, it's a real problem--I'm not some addict looking for pain pills for God's sake! I might go to the doctor once or twice a year. In those short visits, I need the doctor to take some responsibility in my healthcare--not glance at me, assume the common denominator, and send me on my way. .....taking a breath...this was starting to turn into a rant. Whew. OK, anyone have a GREAT family doctor to recommend?

Are you getting what you pay for with your healthcare?

Running out of space on your Android device? My wife & I both have struggled with filling the 16GB internal storage on our Galaxy S4 phones. It's especially frustrating because we both have a 64GB SD card installed for PLENTY of external storage. We have our phones configured to store media (photos, videos, music, movies, etc) on the SD card. We tediously move apps to the SD card. Yet somehow we keep filling up the internal storage. So what's going on?! The build-in storage app is great at showing that your space is filled up (duh!), but about useless at helping you know WHAT IN THE WORLD is using all that space.

The DiskUsage app comes to the rescue. It doesn't fix your space issue, but it does a really great job of telling you exactly what is using the space down to specific files and telling you what app or process is responsible. I also installed Solid Explorer File Manager (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.solidexplorer2) which is an excellent, powerful tool to move files around. Warning: moving files on your Android device is a technical exercise and you should probably know a bit about what you are doing! Now my wife and I have about 5GB free internal storage and our phones are running much better. Technology...argh.

Help out a local family. Scott Spears, mechanic at Freedom Cycles and all around great guy, is in need of some help. Scott is a generous guy who has given his time to the local motorcycle community giving talks about his Dakar experience, putting on maintenance demonstrations, etc. His son, Ashton, has a rare tissue disorder that currently has him undergoing serious heart surgeries.

As you can imagine, you miss a lot of work in a situation like this while all your resources go to saving the life of your child. Join me in donating to help this family with immediate bills.
