My list of the most interesting Tolkien-related items that I have seen in January
January 2012 As my list of sources continues to grow, I find that I need to be more critical in my approach lest I end up with no time for family and friends, and therefore I have this month been more...

A follow-up on an earlier post I made about source criticism of Tolkien's work. Actually I've had this post lying about since the start of the year, so I've just brushed it up a bit and added something from The Return of the Ring and then posted.

It's 'ginormous'!  Tolkien has been a much-occurring topic on the internet in September - even when I don't count anything about the upcoming 'Hobbit' film.
September 2012 September . . . No matter how you count it, when September's gone the autumn is definitely started in the northern hemisphere, and here in Denmark the leaves are gradually turning g...

IT is part of the wonder of the internet that such treasures, and the wonder they inspire, can be shared. Not quite the same power of enchantment as actually holding it in your hand, but still enchanting.
Thanks to Wotan, and congratulations!

With even more interesting blogs and websites discovered in the wake of Return of the Ring . . .
August 2012. While July was a month of scouting (and a new job), August has, for me, very much been a Tolkien month. The climax was of course going to Loughborough for Return of the Ring 2012, but als...

Summary for July 2012
Tolkien Transactions XXVII July 2012. A busy month! In my 'spare time' I have started in a new job and been to our national scout jamboree, Jamboree Denmark 2012, which has left me rather short of tim...

My Tolkien Transactions for October 2013 - a collection of web-wreckage that has floated up in my browser ....
October 2013 A couple of days ago I vividly remembered composing the January transactions and being happy because it helped me remember writing the year right ... it felt like it was just a month or two ago, and yet here we a...

'Ullo

I'm Troels. I run at Tolkien-related blog (see below), and I've done a few reviews for Mallorn, Mythlore and Mythprint. Oh, and I'm a member of the Copenhagen Tolkien Society, Bree.

Based on my experiences with various earlier Tolkien films (Jackson's were better than the earlier efforts, which unfortunately only made the disappointment with the final instalment that much more intense), I am making sure that I keep my expectations at a reasonable level for the Hobbit films ;-)
November 2012. So, November has gone and as I write this, Denmark has been decorated with a very beautiful white blanket. In another part of the world, summer has started and the new Hobbit film has a...

Father-physicist-scout-Tolkienist-test analyst
Introduction
I am analytical and logical, but also good-humoured with an easy laughter and I find it rather easy to get along with most people. My strengths are the application of scientific logic in analysis, and a thorough understanding of the underlying physics. Through both my work for the Danish Scout and Guide Association as well as in my professional life, I have learned to work well with many types of people, and to see and use differences constructively.

Professionally I am dedicated to help people understand testing and to provide them with the tools necessary to extract all relevant information from test results. Strategic test planning, good understanding of the actual test process and rigorous statistical analysis of the test results will enable the greatest possible profitability and information yield from the testing effort.

Privately I am dedicated to my family, to my work for the Danish Scout and Guide Association ("Det Danske Spejderkorps") and my love for the literary work of J.R.R. Tolkien.
