Every one of the examples given in the first half of the talk (before he gets into his Big Four and BitCoin excepted) is a monolithic behemoth that centralizes all profits dressed up in the word "network". Notice none of it is decentralized. Peer-to-peer is mediated by a centralized monolith (otherwise he wouldn't be able to name the entity if it was truly peer-to-peer and networked). The unbundling examples happen to consist of a single company running a market, not a decentralized truly networked market.

This is the wrong decision +Erik Kay. You failed in presenting a user experience that would prevent malicious installation. You failed in creating a permissions/capability model that would prevent malicious installation. Now you are taking the draconian and easy way out in order to cover up for poor design. Hopefully you'll make these sorts of decisions more often so that the developer community is pressured to come up with an alternative. Cheers.

whenever you feel you're having a bad time, you could have been hit by an Atomic Bomb... twice.
Tsutomu Yamaguchi was late for work in August 1945, in Hiroshima, Japan, when he saw an airplane drop a silvery speck into the air. He survived the bombing only to make his way to Nagasaki three days ...

Wow, that's impressive.

I present to you Game of Thrones in MineCraft

I am pretty sure that the reason people love MineCraft is because it is just Lego's for adults, but that doesn't make it any less awesome.
