Congratulations to Toshiki Tajima, Tri Alpha Energy's Chief Science Officer, are in order. Dr. Tajima was named the Vice Chair for the American Physical Society Topical Group in Plasma Astrophysics. The Topical Group advances plasma astrophysics—an interdisciplinary body of knowledge that seeks common ground between plasma physics and astrophysics, and involves the application of fundamental concepts of plasma physics to the solution of outstanding problems in astrophysics.

We are honored that Toshiki Tajima, Tri Alpha Energy's Chief Science Officer, was elected to The Russian Academy of Sciences as a foreign member for his years of research on compact plasma-based accelerators. The Russian Academy of Sciences was founded by Peter the Great in Saint Petersburg in January 1774. The prestigious Academy is one of the top scientific institutions in Russia.
