My Wife and I made a reservation at corkbuzz for Valentines Day. We were seated promptly, though they had arranged tables along one wall to pack in as many couples as possible - i was literally closer to the guy next to me than i was to my wife. I was so frustrated by this we almost got up and left, but my wife talked me down. The mistake was clear - we should have just sat at the bar. At least we would have been able to talk to each other - the men on either side of me could surely hear me more clearly than my date. The second disappointment was the menu. When i made my reservation in Jan, there was no indication of a fixed menu, so that was a bit of a surprise, but probably my fault for not checking back. I'm not sure i understand the purpose of doing a fixed menu at a restaurant like this; you're at maximum capacity every weekend night as it is, so you're not really reducing the load on the kitchen by limiting the menu selections - you're just forcing diners into a higher rate. Ultimately the fixed menu meant $65 per person plus a bottle of wine ($45) - so we walked out right at $220 with tip. The food was tasty but not outstanding - for $220 at The Palm down the road, you would have had to roll me out in a wheelbarrel and i'd have been happy not to eat for the next two days. Someday i'll probably come back to Corkbuzz, but it won't be for a special occasion and we'll be occupying seats at the bar. We walked next door to Dogwood after dinner and were glad to conclude our Valentines Day with some drinks and actual conversation.

Stellar, affordable Italian food. The lasagna is excellent and the polenta is amazing.

Steve did a stellar job on my 2015 WRX, and he's an extremely nice guy. He knows his product very well and takes his time to help you understand your options. I could not be more pleased with the service and finished product.

My Fiance and I moved into a 2bd/2ba unit in August of 2014. Our experience so far has been great. I work from home and use our second bedroom as an office, so my observations and impressions are based on being around basically 24h a day for the last 8 months. The community is clean and quiet, and through events hosted by the Management team we've become friends with several other residents. Amenities are sufficient and well maintained. Parking is almost never an issue, although our unit is in the center structure which makes parking in the deck a bit more convenient. The number of visitor spaces has expanded over the last few months and I've never had an issue finding one when necessary. Appliances are a bit dated, but they get the job done. We've had one maintenance issue related to some leaky HVAC plumbing, but it was resolved very quickly by the maintenance guys. The interior finish of the units is at least what i would expect for this price range. Its roughly the same as an apartment i was paying almost twice as much for in downtown Dallas, aside from lacking some more modern lighting in the kitchen. Exterior grounds are very well maintained, although i think the exterior facade is in need of a repaint and some new trim and siding in some areas. Hopefully this is an investment that can be made in the next year or so while we're still around to enjoy it. The office staff are a pleasure to work with and always very attentive and friendly. They somehow seem to be on a first name basis with nearly every resident, and gladly handle the absurd number of packages i receive. Value-wise i think it's hard to argue with. Walking distance to Montford, minutes from Park Road Shopping center to the north and Southpark to the south, and close to I77, Uptown, and Southend. I see no reason why we won't renew our lease over the summer.
